Karim's, also known as Karim's Restaurants or Karim's Hotels Private Limited, is a famous non vegetarian franchise that was founded by Mr. Haji Karimuddin in 1913 in Chandni Chowk, Delhi, India. Today, the original outlet of Karim's still stands at its original location, though it has since expanded its floor space since then. Despite its long history, as a franchise, Karim's is rather small, with only 7 other outlets located elsewhere in Delhi.

Ambience at Karim's is pretty much the same as it was years ago. Surrouded by the busy, crowded streets of Chandni Chowk, Karim's is noisy, loud, and slightly dusty even indoors. Harsh fluorescent lights illuminate the outlet in both day and night, and spinning ceiling fans help to cool the place from the heat. Savoury and appetizing smells waft from the outdoor central kitchen, and diners constantly throng the place. Furniture is quite comfortable, but be prepared to share tables as Karim's is constantly packed.

Service at Karim's is fast, brusque and efficient. You don't have to wait long for your food, tables are cleared quickly, and staff are friendly. Recommendations are pretty standard, as people typically visit Karim's for their signature dishes. You might have to close an eye to the hygiene standards though, as food is prepared in the outdoor central kitchen beside the dusty streets.

Karim's is known for their excellent food, and they specialise in North Indian, Middle Eastern and Mughlai cuisine. Locals describe tasting the food at Karim's as "your taste buds will come alive". They're right. Karim's has some of the most intensely flavoured food I've had in Delhi, such that you'll be able to tell the difference between food from Karim's and food from elsewhere. Prices are rather reasonable, though it's steadily been creeping upwards through the years due to rising costs. Still affordable though.

The highly recommended dishes at Karim's revolve mainly around mutton or chicken. They include Tandoori Murgh, Tandoori Raan, Tandoori Burra, Akbari Murgh Masala, Badshahi Badam Pasanda, Makhani Murgh-e-Jahangiri, Nargisi Kofta, Gurda Kaleji, Dil Pasand Seekh Kabab and Bemisal Shami Kabab. Other recommended dishes include the Tandoori Roti, Murgh Ka Shorba, Mutton Yakhni, Kheer Benazir and Lazeez Qeema Naan.
