For over 25 years, The Coffee Club has been serving up tasty food and excellent coffee with their signature friendly service. Established in 1989, The Coffee Club has become Australia’s largest home-grown cafe franchise, with more than 360 cafes in 9 countries.

Ambience at The Coffee Club is casual, cozy, and comfortable. The open concept is inviting, and with various types of furniture ranging from couches to stools, you can choose how long you wish to linger. The Coffee Club has very little decor, but their large glass display with various pastries and cakes catches the eye, along with the fantastic smell of coffee brewing in their kitchens.

Service at The Coffee Club is friendly and welcoming. Staff are upbeat and chirpy, and while ordering and payment is self-service, staff do serve orders to your table. I also like that they are knowledgable on the menu, able to make recommendations. I'm also impressed that the menu lists the amount of kilojoules (kj) in each dish, for the more health conscious.

Food at The Coffee Club is generally delicious! They focus mainly on classic Australian dishes, some with a modern twist. Portions are large for 1 person, but prices are relatively affordable, about SGD $28 per person for a meal here. Desserts seem to be their weakest link, as it's not made in-house. Go for their main courses and great coffee instead.

The casual atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, and is usually great for people watching or just chilling.

The coffee here is always consistently excellent. I prefer the sweet, fragrant, slightly spiced Chai Latte, or the rich Mocha.

The Eggs Benedict With Ham features 2 perfectly poached eggs with runny yolks, on crisp toasted ciabatta bread, salty, savoury leg ham, and rich, creamy hollandaise sauce.

The Crepe Chicken, Bacon, Basil Pesto is a fragrant dish, with the crepe stuffed generously with grilled chicken breast, smoky bacon, roasted bell peppers / capsicum, sauteed mushroom, and onions. The combination with is at once sweet, savoury, salty, with good grill taste. Along with the refreshing basil pesto, this is a great perk-me-up dish.

I didn't like the Chocolate Mud Cake, because I felt is wasn't as rich, dense, or sweet as it could be. The taste is somewhat flat, and unmemorable. Skip this.

The Chicken Schnitzel With Italian Slaw blew my mind. The crisp chicken breast is tasty, and still moist within, with the crust being satisfiyingly crunchy. The Italian style coleslaw of radish, fennel, peas, cabbage, and parmesan cheese is refreshing and lends a tends textural crunch, while the fries are thick cut and sprinkled with cajun spices. Highly recommended!
