Since 1839, the Dalmore Distillery in Cromarty Firth, Scotland, United Kingdom, has been producing exceptional single malt Scottish whiskey. The Dalmore Constellation Collection is their crowning jewel, a range of 22 vintage whiskeys that have been allowed to mature in bespoke oak casks. Within The Dalmore Constellation Collection is the one-of-a-kind, 1951 Vintage, a 62-year-old single malt Scotch whisky that costs SGD $350,000. It is the most expensive whiskey in the world!

Specially created for the Masters of Wines and Spirits World Traveller Singapore Showcase in 2013, The Dalmore Constellation Collection 1951 Vintage is the oldest whiskey available from the Scottish distillery, and since there is only 1 of it in the world, the price it commands is the equivalent of a home (3-Room HDB Flat) in Singapore. The Dalmore Constellation Collection 1951 Vintage was distilled via a secret in-house process on 7 June 1951, then allowed to mature for 62 years in a specially created American white oak barrel. The spirit was then housed within hand blown crystal decanters, engraved by hand, and adorned with a solid silver stag, the family crest of the Scottish Mackenzie Clan.

The Dalmore Constellation Collection 1951 Vintage has a dark, deep, rich toffee colour that is warm and inviting. The scent is distinguished, elegant, and sophisticated, with notes of citrus, chocolate, roast coffee, honey, all-spice, and walnuts. The Dalmore Distillery's master blender, Richard Paterson, describes the taste as, "Pure liquid gold, like a flawless diamond with a perfect shine."
