Introduction
Located about 30 - 40 minutes drive away from the Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Cebu City, Radisson Blu Hotel is an up-market, international hotel brand, situated within the Mandaue City area. The 5-star Radisson Blu Hotel offers sophisticated, contemporary ambience, views of either the city or the port, and one of the largest shopping malls in Cebu, SM City mall, directly next door.


Ambience
Ambience at Radisson Blu Hotel is opulent, starting from the moment you walk into the marbled, high-ceiling, spacious lobby. This luxurious, modern surroundings extend throughout the hotel, making it a hotel of choice for high power meetings, conferences, and business. Design is distinctly modern Italian, and the extravagant use of marble and large, open space creates a sense of awe in each area.


Room
Rooms at Radisson Blu Hotel are comfortable and spacious. I stayed at the Deluxe Room, which is large enough to accomodate 3 or 4 people. The room offered a view of the Cebu port, has a spacious working desk, and is stocked with modern amenities. The bathroom is large and spacious, and the toiletries are replaced daily. I faced some problems initially with the cable television, which was resolved when staff quickly replaced the equipment.


Food
Food at Radisson Blu Hotel is served at the Feria Restaurant, which offers an International buffet menu throughout the day. Room service food is also prepared by the chefs here. This 240 seater dining area features an extensive range of food, featuring cuisines as diverse as Filipino, Chinese, Indian, Mediterranean, Italian, American, British, Japanese, and Malay. Generally, I find the food here to be tasty and well executed, and it's worth dining here!


Service
Service at Radisson Blu Hotel befits a 5-star hotel. Staff are friendly, polite, and very efficient, carrying out requests quickly. Security is tight, and provides good assurance for safety of guests. All the staff I interacted with spoke good English, and are very helpful. However, I also note some slight discrepancies in service, they tend to be more friendly and helpful with people dressed in business attire, as opposed to people dressed in casual attire.


Facilities & Activities
As a primarily business hotel, the facilities and activities at Radisson Blu Hotel are catered mainly for business purposes. Their conference rooms are clean, spacious, and well equipped, much better than most other hotels in the Philippines. The location of Radisson Blu Hotel is also very convenient, next to a huge shopping mall, nearby several attractions, and close to the airport. While they have some activities for families and children, these aren't a main focus here.
