Opening its doors in March 2016 within the new Mediacorp Campus at One-North area, Style By Style Vibes Cafe is a chill, casual place where meals are freshly prepared to order. Launched by the Singaporean celebrity behind leading fashion website Style X Style, Sharon Au, the Style By Style Vibes Cafe is pretty, but the quality of food is decent at best, not worth travelling here for.

Ambience at Style By Style Vibes Cafe is the best thing going for it. With a high ceiling, the cool, open concept place is spacious, brightly lit, and comfortable. Modern wooden and metal furniture line the area, I especially love the comfortable cushioned chairs which are suitable for relaxing. Part of the appeal here is the fact that you'll stand a good chance of seeing local Singaporean celebrities around. Nice quiet place overall.

Service at Style By Style Vibes Cafe is very good. While it's partial self-service, with ordering and payment over the counter, staff will serve orders to your table. I find staff to be friendly and engaging, they'll converse with you, and introduce the dishes. Good product knowledge. They also proactively clear away empty / dirty tables and plates efficiently. The restaurant manager(s) are helpful and make you feel welcome, and the chef will sometimes come over to ask for feedback.

Food at Style By Style Vibes Cafe is simple Western cuisine, focused on Italian style soups, salads, pasta, and pizza. Generally, taste and quality is passable and edible, average at best. However, what really stood out are their home baked cakes, all of which were of good quality and delicious. Portions are nicely sized for individuals, and prices are typical of a cafe. Budget about SGD $28 per person for a meal here.

The Truffle Fries (SGD $9.90) are average, served piping hot. These thick cut fries have a slightly crisp exterior, and a fluffy interior, with good potato flavour, though the cheese and truffle flavour is very faint. Doesn't taste like truffle fries at all.

I like the Salmon Spaghetti Carbonara (SGD $15.90), with its rich, thick, cream sauce. Done nearly Italian style, the gravy is the dry version, sticking to the semi-soft spaghetti pasta noodles. Lacks the smoky salty flavour of bacon. The salmon fillet has small bones, but the fish flesh is tender and moist, flaking off nicely. The skin is crisp, with bold salty savoury flavour, really lifts the whole dish. Worth ordering!

The Chicken Mushroom Pizza (SGD $14.90) is decent. What I like is the generous toppings of chicken slices, shiitake mushrooms, and wild rocket leaves / arugula, spread nearly to the edge of the thin, crisp, pizza crust. Average at best.

The cakes here are fantastic, and I understand they also supply them to other places. The Durian Pandan Kaya Cake (SGD $7.90) was my favourite, a complex layering of fruity sweet durian, and fragrant floral pandan / screwpine leaf with earthy kaya / coconut egg jam. The cake is moist and soft, with a slightly creamy texture. Highly recommended!

The Chocolate Truffle Cake (SGD $6.90) is rich with robust chocolate flavour, and a moist, creamy smooth texture. Not overly sweet, you get the flavours of dark chocolate and milk chocolate. Good!

While I liked the taste of the Sea Salt Caramel Cake (SGD $6.90), I felt the cream was a little too much, making it cloying to finish. Flavours are well balanced, sweet salty and nutty. Could be better with less cream, and more caramel sauce and sea salt.
