Opening in January 2018 within the Pasir Ris Central Hawker Centre, The Humble Burger serves tasty, hearty, Modern Singaporean burgers. With a straightforward menu and familiar flavours, The Humble Burger typically attracts a queue during peak meal periods.

Ambience at The Humble Burger benefits from the bright, open, spacious seating area of Pasir Ris Central Hawker Centre. The ample and modern functional furnishings are quirky, colourful, and comfortable, while the open area feels welcoming. The place is designed to be breezy and cool, well suited for lingering.

Service at The Humble Burger is fast, efficient, and friendly. Although everything is completely self-service, from ordering, to payment, to collection of orders, staff fulfill orders quickly. They're friendly, and display good product knowledge, able to advise diners on the different burgers and flavours available, along with acceding to simple customisation requests.

Food at The Humble Burger is Modern Singaporean; infusing local flavours into Western style burgers. Generally, I find their burgers tasty and appealing, consistently well executed. Portions are sized for individuals, and should fill you up nicely. Prices are comparable to other Hawker Western Food places, budget about SGD $7 per person for a meal here.

The Twister Fries (SGD $1.50 / $3) are very good. Lightly seasoned, with a savoury salty potato flavour. It has a slightly crisp exterior, with a fluffy soft interior. Good!

The Chicken Rice Burger (SGD $5.50) is a signature burger here. A fragrant rice patty burger bun, infused with pandan / screwpine leaf and chicken stock, tasting exactly like hawker Chicken Rice, with a slightly crisp, slightly chewy texture. Sandwiched within, tender chunks of braised chicken, flavourful with salty savoury flavour from being slow braised in herbs, light soy sauce, and dark soy sauce. Crunchy lettuce, sharp pungent ginger, and a spicy chili sauce complete this delicious burger. Worth ordering!

The Sio Bak Burger (SGD $5.50) came well recommended. I can see why; the fluffy soft, toasted buttered burger buns, sandwich no less than 3 thick slabs of marinated roast pork belly; which are moist and tender in texture, coming apart easily, and hold good savoury salty flavour. Completed with crunchy lettuce, an overly sharp yellow mustard, and a savoury miso glaze. While I wish they had used pork belly slices that didn't have cartilage, this was still satisfiying. Good!

Sometimes, you crave for a really good burger. Well, the Stack Burger (SGD $7) has you covered. Fluffy soft, toasted buttered burger buns, sandwich a juicy earthy whole grilled portobello mushroom, crunchy lettuce, tender sweet caramelised onions, juicy tomatoes, 2 slices of cheddar cheese, and a savoury miso glaze. But the star is the medium thick, juicy, savoury salty beef patty, with its satisfiying light chew. Super delicious. Highly recommended!
