Introduction
Located about 100 minutes drive away from the Tullamarine international airport in Melbourne, and within the Mornington Peninsula area of Australia, the Serenity Overlooking Rye Airbnb is a spacious open planned home, with a modern-day feel that has distant ocean views and everything you could possibly need for a comfortable holiday stay. The Serenity Overlooking Rye Airbnb truly feels like a home away from home, and we left wishing to return again someday.
Ambience
Ambience at Serenity Overlooking Rye is beautiful and serene. The house is in a quiet neighbourhood, offering fantastic views of the surroundings from the balcony, including sunrise, sunset, moonrise, day skies, and night skies. A calm and tranquil getaway, the well-appointed living rooms and common spaces, both outdoor and indoor, are great for lounging with family or friends. I especially love the shell-shaped outdoor lounge chairs on the balcony, which are so relaxing.
Room
Rooms at Serenity Overlooking Rye were decently spacious and comfortable. The beds were large, and while the mattresses were too soft for my liking, we still managed to get good sleep. Wardrobes are large with sufficient clothing hangers, and the bathrooms and toilets were clean and well-stocked with fresh towels and simple toiletries. The washing machine and dryer worked well, and we managed to complete several rounds of laundry (we used our own laundry liquid). Noticeably, there is a lack of a study area, though the living rooms or dining area works just as well.
Food
Food at Serenity Overlooking Rye can be prepared using the well-equipped kitchen, which includes cooking essentials and condiments. We managed to put together a splendid meal using the fresh ingredients and produce of the area, yum yum. Wanted to try using the outdoor barbecue grill, but inclement weather put a halt on that plan.
Service
Service at Serenity Overlooking Rye is excellent, thanks to superhosts Jaclyn and Louise. Interactions were prompt and helpful, with clear instructions on house usage. They even shared useful tips and points of interest in the surrounding area. We arrived to find the home clean and well-organised, and strove to leave it in as pristine a condition as we received it. Thoughtful essentials made the stay more comfortable.
Facilities & Activities
The facilities and activities at Serenity Overlooking Rye are suitable for families with young children, with board games and netflix on the smart television. The house also serves as a great jumping off point to explore Mornington Peninsula in general, with the beaches of Rye just 10 minutes drive away, and other attractions well within reasonable driving reach (such as wineries, which are within less than 1.5 hours drive away). However, the steep incline driveway and staircase to the house (as well as stairs within the house) would make it challenging for the mobility-impaired I wouldn't recommend them to stay here). Otherwise, we had an excellent stay, and would return again where possible.

Introduction
Located about 30 minutes drive away from the Tullamarine international airport in Melbourne, Australia, the Novotel Melbourne Central is a comfortable 4-star business hotel right in the city's central business district. Co-located with its sister brand Ibis and surrounded by ample shopping, dining, and entertainment options, Novotel Melbourne Central offers a modern urban retreat that's convenient for both business or leisure.
Ambience
Ambience at Novotel Melbourne Central is modern, contemporary, and functional. Straight lines with bright lights and some minimalist decor that lends character, the place exudes a prim and proper professional feel. While co-located, they occupy the upper floors of the building, which offers city views of the urban landscape.
Room
Rooms at Novotel Melbourne Central are clean, spacious, and comfortable. I stayed at the Superior King Room, which has a large and comfortable king size bed with good back support. The wardrobe is decently large, and the pantry is stocked with free instant coffee and tea, along with a nice sized mini refrigerator. The large smart TV is cable-enabled with a decent selection of channels, and also allows for casting. The working desk is sturdy and equipped with an international power adapter, while the bay window sofa is large and comfortable for up to 6 people. Odd design for the open bathroom, while the toilet is functional, the shower area doesn't have any hooks or bars for hanging clothing or towels (it's all outside at the sink).
Food
Food at Novotel Melbourne Central is provided by the Pretty Boy Italian Steakhouse, which specialises in Italian cuisine. Quality is decent, as I note other non-hotel guests visiting, though the place is quiet most days. Dishes are simply prepared and clean-tasting, highlighting the freshness of the ingredients.
Service
Service at Novotel Melbourne Central is friendly and efficient. While I initially had some difficulty in understanding what the staff were saying to me, I appreciate their patience and willingness to accomodate requests. The housekeeping staff work quickly in cleaning rooms, and maintenance staff are courteous in their interactions. The reception made checking in and out a breeze.
Facilities & Activities
The facilities and activities at Novotel Melbourne Central are limited, with a seeming lack of laundry service (I couldn't spot it). The gymnasium is large and well-equipped with various workout machines, and the meeting rooms are modern and fitted out with proper business and conference technologies. The best thing about the Novotel Melbourne Central is their location, within walking distance to ample dining and entertainment options, and within the city's free tram zone.
