Introduction
Located about 30 minutes drive away from the Gimhae international airport in Busan, South Korea, the Hotel Forêt Premier Nampo (호텔포레 프리미어 남포점) is a modern 3-star hotel that's conveniently located in the city, within walking distance of several attractions, including Yongdusan Park & 40 Steps & Busan Tower, Jagalchi Fish Market, and Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) Square; as well as numerous shopping, dining, and entertainment options.


Ambience
Ambience at Hotel Forêt Premier Nampo is minimalist and functional. The modern touches within the warmly lit space are decent, while the corridors are narrow and cramped. There's barely any view, and what little there is looks out into either other buildings or the busy streets. The hotel shares its lower floors with a small shopping mall, which means lifts are usually crowded.


Room
Rooms at Hotel Forêt Premier Nampo are modern and comfortable. I stayed at the Deluxe Double Room, which has a comfortable clean queen-sized bed, a decent study desk, and a small pantry. The open wardrobe rather irked me, as I would have liked some additional flat surfaces instead of hanging all clothing. The bathroom is clean, well stocked and tech-enabled, and the shower also has an elderly-friendly bath stool.


Food
Food at Hotel Forêt Premier Nampo is non-existent, with just a dining hall where a simple breakfast is served as an add-on option. That said, there's plentiful food options nearby, from fresh seafood eateries in the famed Jagalchi Fish Market, to the bustling street food carts in the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) Square.


Service
Service at Hotel Forêt Premier Nampo is efficient but transactional. The majority of interaction with staff is over the reception when you check-in, and they fulfil requests quickly. Housekeeping is decently performed. There's a vending machine with toiletries and other essentials, though you can also pick up items at the nearby shopping areas.


Facilities & Activities
The facilities and activities at Hotel Forêt Premier Nampo are scant. About the only 2 things of note, are the breezy outdoor terrace lounge which overlooks the street, and the massage chairs in the lobby lounge. The main draw to staying at Hotel Forêt Premier Nampo is really its fantastic location, making it a great jumping off point to walk and explore the city.

Located about 70 minutes drive away from the Gimhae international airport in Busan, South Korea, the Ibis Ambassador Busan Haeundae (이비스앰배서더해운대) is a 4-star modern leisure hotel located just 5 minutes walk away from Haeundae Beach & Sea Life Busan Aquarium, and the nearby shopping, entertainment, and dining enclave. This makes Ibis Ambassador Busan Haeundae a great jumping-off point to explore this section of Busan in South Korea, though it's a distance away from the airport.


Ambience
Ambience at Ibis Ambassador Busan Haeundae is modern and colourful, with a family-friendly feel. Quirky wallpaper and odd-shaped furnishings and decor lend character, while the surrounding views of the beach and ocean is aesthetically appealing.


Room
Rooms at Ibis Ambassador Busan Haeundae are comfortable and spacious, sized for families. We stayed at the Standard Room With Sofa, which was already large at 45 square metres (or 484 square feet), featuring a large smart cable television, queen bed, L-shaped sofa in the living room, work and dining desk, wardrobe and vanity desk, and separate toilet and bathroom. Stocked with basic amenities, we loved the place.


Food
Food at Ibis Ambassador Busan Haeundae is lacklustre in quality. Served at the in-house Ibis Kitchen Restaurant, dishes are just average in taste and presentation. No surprise that most guests dine out, as the area is surrounded by excellent restaurants within walking distance.


Service
Service at Ibis Ambassador Busan Haeundae is good. Staff are able to converse in English, are responsive and helpful with requests, and knowledgeable about the surrounding area's attractions. Housekeeping is hardworking and efficient, upholding cleanliness standards. Staff also helpfully guide guests on using the self-service equipment.


Facilities & Activities
The facilities and activities at Ibis Ambassador Busan Haeundae are decent. The meeting rooms are limited, but well equipped. The gymnasium is adequate though small in size. The business centre is well maintained, and the lobby lounge is comfortable. We made full use of the self-service laundromat several times, and this was a highlight for us. The best part is the location of the hotel, right above 2 convenience stores, and walking distance to fantastic shopping, dining, entertainment, and leisure options. Will recommend Ibis Ambassador Busan Haeundae for anyone visiting this area.

Introduction
Located about 15 minutes drive away from the Jeju international airport in Jeju, South Korea, the Hotel Regent Marine The Blue Jeju (호텔리젠트마린제주) is a 4-star business and leisure hotel situated along a picturesque waterfront, and within walking distance of the city, a good location if you're into shopping or eating. While Hotel Regent Marine The Blue Jeju feels slightly dated, the place is decently comfortable and clean.


Ambience
Ambience at Hotel Regent Marine The Blue Jeju is dated, most noticeable from the exterior facade windows, which are unclean. The warm lighting and extensive use of marble tiles, along with the carpeted floors, is a throwback to the design language of the 1990s. The lifts are slow, and therefore often crowded too, which means getting to and from your room requires some patience.


Room
Rooms at Hotel Regent Marine The Blue Jeju are comfortable, clean, and spacious. The bed is large and clean, medium firm with good support. The bathroom is well-equipped with amenities, while the small living room makes for a decent working or dining area. The in-room wireless internet is fast and stable. The only issue I had was with the cable television, which seemed to be spoilt with an error message on screen, and the remote was unresponsive.


Food
Food at Hotel Regent Marine The Blue Jeju is served at Latif Restaurant, which only operates during the day for breakfast and lunch. The place traps noise, so peak periods are particularly loud and buzzing. In the evening, operations are handed over to 3rd-party brand BBQ Olive Chicken & Beer, which specialises in Korean Fried Chicken. Their rendition of chimaek / fried chicken and beer is excellent, yum.


Service
Service at Hotel Regent Marine The Blue Jeju is efficient and transactional. Beyond the reception at the lobby, there isn't much opportunity for interaction with staff. That said, the housekeeping is fast and efficient, and the restaurant staff work quickly to clean up when diners are finished. Oddly, staff never told us about the various shops co-located with the hotel, we'd eventually discovered it on our own.


Facilities & Activities
The facilities and activities at Hotel Regent Marine The Blue Jeju caters to families and business travellers. The meeting rooms are decent and well-equipped, as is the gymnasium, though both are smaller when compared to elsewhere. The game room NOL-PANG has classic arcade games and UFO toy catchers, while the swimming pool is small but offers a beautiful view of the waterfront. Overall, staying at Hotel Regent Marine The Blue Jeju was a decent experience, but I probably wouldn't return.

Propelled to fame after it featured as a key location in the drama "Goblin", the BBQ Olive Chicken & Beer is a chain restaurant with outlets across South Korea, specialising in chimaek / fried chicken and beer. Here, they operate from within the Hotel Regent Marine The Blue Jeju, only during the evenings. While Korean fried chicken naturally features prominently on their menu, they also offer other dishes derived from American and Korean cuisine.

We ordered the Golden Olive Drum Stick Chicken Fried & Seasoned Set (KRW ₩24,000) as takeaway, and it was packed cleanly and professionally. They'd provided plastic gloves and wet serviettes for use, along with additional barbecue seasoning sauce.

Pairing the Kkakdugi / Pickled Daikon Radish in-between each piece of chicken helps refresh and cleanse the palate. Each crunchy juicy cube of daikon radish bursts with vegetal sour sweet flavour, yum. Good!

The Golden Olive Chicken Drum Sticks, Fried & Seasoned were nicely packed in foil, helping to keep the chicken drum sticks piping hot.

The Huraideu Chikin / Fried Chicken has a beautiful golden crust, crisp crunchy in texture, crackling beautifully the reveal the moist tender juicy chicken meat within. Pulling easily off the bone, the succulent chicken meat carries a gentle meaty grainy savoury sweet salty flavour. Highly recommended!

The Yangnyeom Chikin / Seasoned Chicken has a sticky coating of yangnyeom sauce glaze, yet the chicken skin isn't greasy. Bite in to reveal the moist tender juicy chicken meat within. Pulling easily off the bone, the succulent chicken meat carries a robust meaty spicy savoury salty sweet sour flavour. Highly recommended!
