Sheng Kee Seafood is one of those small corner coffeeshop Zi Char stalls in Bukit Panjang. Their food is afforable, and quite decent. There aren't many such stalls around the area, so the Sheng Kee Seafood chef does have quite a good turnover from the heartlanders living nearby.

Por Kee Eating House to me, is just average. The food was decent, but it wasn't particularly impressive. About the only thing that stood out was the Steamed Fish done Thai Style, which had a nice tangy flavor. 


Otherwise, everything at Por Kee Eating House was pretty forgettable. And the place is a little out of the way for me, so unless I happened to be around this area, I don't think I'll travel all the way just to eat here.

I just adore the Butter Crab at Paradise Group (Seafood Paradise). Creamy buttery sauce that's literally finger-licking good, poured over a fresh meaty crab. I've often used the fried mantou to mop up the sauce!

I like their scallops with broccoli and egg white. The scallops are fresh and juicy, and quite large, and the soft egg whites accompany it well.

Beard Papa Sweets (not Bread, but Beard) is famous for their sweet inside, flaky outside cream puffs. Each puff is chock full of their smooth cream filling, and just oozes out when bitten into.

One Degree 15 (ONE°15) obviously isn't your typical zi char place. I was fortunate that my eldest cousin chose One Degree 15 (ONE°15) to hold his wedding dinner, the surrounding scenery was beautiful. And the food was deserving of this up-market location. 


My mom and dad actually picked out this menu together with my cousin's parents, and they mentioned that the food served during the actual wedding dinner was a lot better than they one they tasted during the tasting session. 


One Degree 15 (ONE°15) food really was superb, the ingredients were all fresh, well marinated and arranged beautifully. 


Guess my cousin paid a bomb for this... Well worth it though, if this dinner was to be the most important dinner of his life.
