Opened in December 2021, What The Pug is a dog petting place that features the adorable pug. Note that What The Pug is not a cafe, as they don't serve food, neither is it a space where you can bring your own dogs, but rather, it's a place that offers guests an opportunity to pet and play with pugs.

What The Pug is home to 11 dogs (used to be 12 dogs, until the oldest passed on), all pugs, each with their own personality and back story. During each 45-minute experience session priced at SGD $25 - $28 per person, the owner will regale you with tales of each dog, all while the pugs mingle and play with you. Each guest is also given some treats to distribute, and it's wonderful trying to feed each of the pugs. Each session also includes a canned drink, and a polaroid photo with a pug of your choice. What The Pug has a sink and hand soap, as well as lint rollers, but be prepared that these lively dogs will drool on you, especially when you're feeding them treats.

The pugs at What The Pug are all different ages, with the younger ones being more active, and the older ones content to snooze in your lap, or on soft pillows. The dogs here are all friendly and don't bite, and the owner shared that the vet comes around regularly to ensure they're healthy. After feeding, several were content to just sit on our laps, or, cuddle beside us. So cute in a derpy way. Advance bookings at What The Pug are a MUST in order to be admitted, to allow the pugs sufficient rest as well. Each 45-minute experience session admits up to 8 people at most. We loved the dog petting experience at What The Pug, will return again!
