We visited Samhwan Livestock The Premium (삼환축산 남포점) twice over 2 days, because they impressed us with their ambience, service, food quality, and reasonable prices. Specialising in pork and beef barbecue, Samhwan Livestock The Premium seems to offer locally sourced meats, and the friendly owner-couple/siblings really created a memorable impression on us.
Ambience at Samhwan Livestock The Premium is lively and comfortable. The warmly lit space is packed with wide sturdy tables centered around a charcoal barbecue grill. The exhaust ventilation is good, with little cooking odour hanging in the air. The self-service salad bar is clean and brightly lit, though accessibility is cramped when there are more than 3 people present.
Service at Samhwan Livestock The Premium is friendly, helpful, and engaging. The menu has helpful English translations, making ordering easy. The owner-couple/siblings were very friendly, offering recommendations, and helping diners grill the meats. They also check on diners regularly. Other staff work efficiently, be it cleaning up or serving orders.
Food at Samhwan Livestock The Premium is Korean cuisine, focused on pork and beef Korean barbecue. Cuts of meat are freshly sourced locally, and vegetables and fruits at the salad bar are fresh and replenished regularly throughout meal service. Portions are nicely sized, and every diner has to order something. Prices are affordable and reasonable, budget about KRW ₩33,000 / SGD $33 per person.

The Bokbunja-Ju / Black Raspberry Wine (KRW ₩15,000) is a Korean fruit liqueur, made by fermenting Korean black raspberries with water, white rice grains, and jicho herbs. It has a deep, ruby violet colour, with aromas of blackberry, raspberry, spring water, and blackcurrant. Body is light, medium-thin, and slightly sticky, with tastes that are similar to its aroma. Bold refreshing fruity sweet flavour, it's said to have medicinal properties, including being able to aid liver and kidney functions.

The Galbi Gui / Barbecued Boneless Beef Short Ribs (KRW ₩7,490 for 100g, ₩37,450 for 500g) are a common cut in Busan. The boneless beef short ribs are marinated in soy sauce, barbecued quickly over a charcoal flame, and have a tender chewy texture with addictive smoky meaty salty savoury sweet flavour. Very satisfying texture. Highly recommended!

The Upjinahnsal Gui / Grilled Beef Inside Skirt (KRW ₩7,990 for 100g, ₩39,950 for 500g) is a long and lean beef cut. When barbecued over flame, it has a springy chewy moist bite to texture that requires effort (and is therefore appealing to locals), with robust smoky meaty savoury salty sweet flavour. Addictive and tasty. Good!
