Established in Atlanta, Georgia, United States Of America in 1991, Wing Zone opened its doors in Singapore in April 2014. The best thing about Wing Zone is their wide variety of marinade flavours for their chicken wings, and they're even halal-certified. Overall though, they feel more like a novelty experience.
Ambience at Wing Zone is modern and vibrant. The simple and modern functional furniture resembles those of a typical fast-food restaurant or casual diner, being non-descript and easy to clean. The place is decked in vibrant shades of red, orange, brown, and black, while warm spotlights cast a soft glow. The large and colourful logos on the menu make it attractive. However, it's styled for quick meals, not for lingering ones.
Service at Wing Zone is good. Unlike the fast-food vibe of the place, staff actually serve orders tableside, though ordering and payment is self-service over the counter. Staff display good product knowledge, being able to describe the differences in each marinade. They are proactive and helpful in performing requests, and efficient at clearing away empty / dirty tables when diners leave. Feels like bistro style service, pretty good.
Food at Wing Zone is American style chicken wings and burgers, each coated in 1 marinade of your choice. The attractive part of dining here is the variety of flavours with each marinade, as pretty much everything else from taste to quality is just slightly above average. The main issue I have - portions are small, thus making it poor value for money. Prices are affordable, but expensive for the value you get, budget about SGD $20 per person for a decent meal here.

The regular Wings Set (SGD $11.40) has 6 pieces of either winglets or drumlets (3 whole chicken wings), served in a choice of marinade. There are 14 different varieties of marinade to choose from, ranging from traditional classic to modern fusion flavours. A side dish and a drink rounds it out. Overall though, I find it poor value for money for individuals, slightly better for groups.

A Soft Drink (SGD $2.55 / $2.95) accompanies a typical set meal here, but on its own, it's really expensive.

The Crinkle Cut Wedge Fries (SGD $2.95 / $4.95) and Crinkle Cut Wedge Fries, Flavour Rubbed (SGD $3.45 / $5.45) feature the same style of potato wedges, with the difference being a choice of dry rub marinade for the latter. I loved these, the potato wedges are large, with a crisp, ridged texture on the outside, yet the inside is hot, fluffy, soft, and moist. Good savoury potato flavour too. These really help to fill you up. Good!

The Aromatic Chicken Rice (SGD $2) is among the better side dishes on the menu. Warm and fragrant, the fluffy soft white rice is infused with chicken broth, and has a soft aroma of chicken. Lovely.

Loved the Crispy Onion Rings (SGD $4.95 / $7.95), with the large sliced rings of white onions being tender, juicy, and slightly sweet. The golden batter toes the line between crisp and fluffy soft, but is tasty with its buttermilk flavour.

Among the few vegetable options on the menu is the Carrots And Celery Sticks (SGD $2.50). It's served with fresh sticks of carrots and celery, crunchy and vegetal sweet in flavour, with a choice of sauce on the side. I got the Bleu Cheese Dressing, which is creamy and luscious in texture, but the actual pungent blue cheese flavour is tame here, likely to appeal to the masses. Decent enough.

There are 2 different styles of chicken winglets and drumlets here - the original features barbecued / grilled chicken winglets and drumlets, while the crunchy wings feature fried chicken winglets and drumlets coated in a light buttermilk batter. Both versions have a moist and tender texture; and carry a light savoury sweet flavour, allowing the marinade to provide the main profile of taste. I also like that all the marinades are served in generous portions, so you never have to stuggle to find flavour.
The Wings - Buffalo Bliss (SGD $8.45 for 6 pieces, 1 Flavour) features the traditional classic American New York buffalo marinade. It's a rich orange sauce, tangy sour spicy in flavour, with a slight lingering heat.

The Crunchy Wings - Lemon Zinger (SGD $8.45 for 6 pieces, 1 Flavour) features the traditional classic British Indian lemon pepper marinade. It's a thick yellow green sauce, zesty tangy sour peppery in flavour, with an intense burst of taste. I like that it's served on the side, as it's best eaten in small amounts when dipping.

The Crunchy Wings - Garlic Parm (SGD $8.45 for 6 pieces, 1 Flavour) features the modern fusion flavours of garlic, pepper, and parmesan cheese, blended with the buffalo marinade. It's a creamy amber orange sauce, herbal cheesy savoury salty in flavour, with a touch of heat. I like that it's served on the side, as it can be quite rich.

Besides chicken winglets and drumlets, they also offer hand-breaded chicken tenders. These have a delicate savoury sweet flavour, with a juicy tender bite to texture, and a nice chew. Very satisfiying, I enjoyed the chicken tenders more than the chicken winglets and drumlets.
The Tenders - Tokyo Dragon (SGD $8.45 for 5 pieces, 1 Flavour) features the modern fusion flavours of honey, light soy sauce, ginger, teriyaki sauce, and chili marinade. It's a thick maroon glaze, sweet salty savoury in flavour, with a faint spicy kick. Makes you crave more as you eat.

The Tenders - Thai Chili (SGD $8.45 for 5 pieces, 1 Flavour) features the modern fusion flavours of a Thai chili and citrus marinade. It's a translucent brick red glaze, sweet sour spicy in flavour, with a sharp but short burn. Rather heavy on the sweetness, so it can get a bit cloying.

The Tenders - Cool Ranch (SGD $8.45 for 5 pieces, 1 Flavour) features the traditional classic American California cowboy / farm inspired marinade. It's a dry rub of buttermilk, dill, onion powder, and mustard powder, herbal milky sweet savoury in flavour. Feels refreshing and cooling on the palate.

The Tenders - Liquid Gold (SGD $8.45 for 5 pieces, 1 Flavour) features the traditional classic American honey mustard marinade. It's a creamy golden yellow glaze, sharp tangy sweet sour in flavour, with a refreshing zesty feel on the palate. Pretty good choice for those who don't like spicy.

On the menu are boneless chicken chunks, small but relatively filling chunks of meaty, tender chicken. Nicely juicy and savoury sweet in flavour, very clean tasting. These are usually glazed with the marinade, so only the sauce flavour remains on the outside, while you get the natural chicken flavour inside.
The Boneless - HoneyQ (SGD $8.45 for 6 pieces, 1 Flavour) features the modern fusion flavours of barbecue, honey, and chili in the marinade. It's a bright red brown glaze, tangy sweet savoury in flavour, with a mild spicy heat on the palate. The sweetness is more pronounced here, but the spicy feel makes you crave more.

Was initially hesistant about the Boneless - Nuclear Habanero (SGD $8.45 for 6 pieces, 1 Flavour), which features the modern fusion flavours of habanero chili as the marinade. The bright amber orange glaze shouts a warning, but the savoury sour spicy flavour wasn't as fiery as it looks. Yes, there is a good burn which lingers on the palate, but not so much that it makes you uncomfortable. Surprisingly edible and palatable.

The Mozzarella Sticks (SGD $6.95) are decent enough. With a crisp, crunchy, golden crumb exterior, and a soft stringy interior, the mozzarella cheese sticks have a cheesy savoury salty flavour. A side of tomato salsa dipping sauce accompanies. Decent in quality, an alright choice for sharing.
