Opened sometime before April 2015, in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Kanto, Japan, Daichi-No Megumi is a seafood robatayaki / barbecue which focuses on showcasing Hokkaido ingredients. Other details of its history are scant, but Daichi-No Megumi does attract a crowd due to its convenient location.

Ambience at Daichi-No Megumi is modern and comfortable, with sturdy wooden booth and communal wooden furnishings. Private rooms are available for groups as well. The large open kitchen spanning a long wall draws the eye for the flurry of activity and movement.

Service at Daichi-No Megumi is polite but transactional. Ordering is self-service and easy via the digital ordering system, and payment is made over the counter before you leave. There isn't much interaction from staff, unless you happen to perch directly in front of the open kitchen.

Food at Daichi-No Megumi is traditional Japanese cuisine, focused on seafood robatayaki / barbecue using ingredients sourced from Hokkaido. Dishes are decently executed and tasty. Portions are sized either for individuals or for groups. Prices are slightly premium, budget about JPY ¥2,700 / SGD $24 per person.

The Beer Sapporo Sorachi 1984 (JPY ¥1,210) is a unique blonde ale beer, brewed using 100% Sorachi Ace hops, released in April 2019. It has a clear amber colour, with aromas and tastes of cypress leaf, lemongrass, dill, and pine. The body is smooth, velvety, and dry, with earthy woody herbal sweet flavour, and a lingering finish.
