Named after the Min River in China and thus reflecting its Cantonese and Sichuan culinary influences, Min Jiang was established in 1982 as the Asian fine-dining restaurant concept operated by Goodwood Park Hotel. Min Jiang has built a strong reputation as one of Singapore's most reliable destinations for refined Chinese cuisine, reflected in its numerous awards.
Ambience at Min Jiang exudes a serene, contemporary elegance. The restaurant’s chinoiserie‑inspired space blends honey, silver‑grey, and teal colour tones with polished marble tabletops, illuminated onyx panels, and custom pendant lights shaped like traditional fishing baskets. The hand‑woven jute carpets feel luxurious, while the circular mirrors echo traditional Chinese architectural motifs.
Service at Min Jiang is professional and polished. Staff are warm and efficient, demonstrating good product knowledge as they talk you through menu recommendations, and they clean up quickly when diners leave. They anticipate diners needs, paying attention to the small details and fulfilling requests graciously. Notably unobtrusive and discreet, yet warm when they engage customers.
Food at Min Jiang is focused on refined Chinese Cantonese and Chinese Sichuan cuisine. Dishes are consistently and precisely executed using good quality ingredients, boast robust depth of flavour, and are presented beautifully. Portions are large for individuals, and is best shared.
