Erich's Wuerstelstand is a Singapore tourist attraction of sorts, playing on the 'unusual' aspect of an Austrian Chef selling German / Austrian food in Chinatown. Erich's Wuerstelstand fame is such that tourists visit especially to see the stall, especially tourists from his home country of Austria, where his stall is featured as a 'Must See' attraction in Singapore. 


Of course, Erich's Wuerstelstand wouldn't have survived all these years if the food wasn't good as well. Specializing in traditional German breads and sausages, Erich's Wuerstelstand imports many of the ingredients from Germany, and hand-makes the food, so it's pretty good. He also prepares the sauerkraut himself! Prices are slighly cheaper than what you'll pay for a sausage or hot dog at other places. 


Service at Erich's Wuerstelstand is very good, as the stall is operated by the boss himself, Erich Pollski, a friendly, boisterous man who will engage you in conversation, and gamely pose for photos if asked. He's met many famous personalities and celebrities, and has a collection of autographs. 


As a take-away kiosk, there isn't much seating at Erich's Wuerstelstand. But the ambience is still pretty good, as you're surrounded by the daily bustle and sights of Chinatown. 


A visit to Erich's Wuerstelstand is more than just food, it's the complete experience of talking with Erich Pollski, marvelling at the various articles / photographs pinned around the stall, and enjoying the sights of Chinatown while snacking on German / Austrian food.

The Currywurst is a house speciality, with a special sweet and savoury curry sauce made according to a German recipe, with curry powder dusting that gives a slightly tangy and spicy kick.
