It's not often you hear of a local Singaporean perfumer / cosmetic chemist, a person who specialises in the science of creating scents. The founder of Freda'D is one such lady; Ms. Faridah Yusuf got her start at a young age, learning from her family's perfume business. As first, she experimented with creating different scents for herself, but when people started asking where she got those wonderful fragrances, she decided to start her own business, and in 2014, Freda’D was founded.

Manufactured in their Kaki Bukit factory, the range of Freda’D scents come packaged in distinctive black and white striped bottles. What I like about Freda’D is their perfumes are crafted by hand, in small batches, using organic ingredients whenever possible. This ensures a consistently high quality in their range of products. Furthermore, their scents are phthalate free and cruelty free, with no animal testing!

Each Freda'D perfume offers a unique sensory experience, and is designed to delight, with different scents for different personalities. There are scents for both males and females, and their products can even be layered! Freda'D also offers perfume making workshops (SGD $120 for a 2 hour Basic workshop), and they can even create bespoke perfumes, customised according to your preferences!

While Freda'D does not have an actual brick-and-mortar store, they do have pop-up stalls at various events from time to time. Mostly, they retail their products online through their official website, or through various partner stores. Prices are consistent across the board, at SGD $57 for a single individual bottle, or SGD $90 for a 10 mini bottle sampler set.
