Located on a quiet street beside the wharf, Miyoung Yinae Sikdang (미영이네 생선회) is a popular local spot with a focused menu, featuring mackerel fish done in several ways. We queued in the rain for about 40 minutes before getting a seat. Interesting to note that the restaurant next to Miyoung Yinae Sikdang sells similar dishes at identical prices, yet it was virtually empty, prompting us to wonder if the quality was really so different.
Ambience at Miyoung Yinae Sikdang is cozy, homely, and noisy. The brightly lit place is packed with functional wooden furnishings, and loud chatter fills the air. Walking spaces are narrow and cramped, but I like that they have sheltered waiting areas.
Service at Miyoung Yinae Sikdang is brusque, methodical, and efficient. There's only a handful of items on the menu, just point to what you want. Dishes arrive in quick succession, barely able to fit within the table. Staff work and clean up quickly.
Food at Miyoung Yinae Sikdang is traditional Korean cuisine, focused on preparing fresh mackerel fish in several ways. While delicious, the overall experience didn't endear to me. Portions are designed for sharing. Prices are affordable, budget about KRW ₩25,000 / SGD $25 per person.

The range of Banchan / Side Dishes (Part Of KRW ₩85,000 Set For 4 Persons) here is limited, mostly designed to pair with the sashimi / hoe. The Chapssal / Glutinous Rice was interesting with its fragrant grainy sweet flavour and sticky texture, while the crisp Gim / Dried Seaweed Sheet crackles with vegetal earthy salty savoury flavour. The chunky Sagwa Saelleodeu / Apple Salad felt almost like a dessert, juicy crunchy with fruity milky sweet flavour. Good!

Their rendition of Baechu Miyeokguk / Cabbage & Kelp Seaweed Soup (Part Of KRW ₩85,000 Set For 4 Persons) didn't appeal to me, it was overly gloopy and tasty fishy. Could be improved.

Loved the Godeungeo Jorim / Braised Mackerel Fish With Daikon Radish Spicy Stew (Part Of KRW ₩85,000 Set For 4 Persons), with its tender braised daikon radish and lean flaky bone-in fillets of Spanish mackerel fish absorbing the robust savoury salty spicy flavours of the stew. Goes so well with white rice. Highly recommended!

This features thick chunky boneless fillets of raw Atlantic mackerel fish, tender smooth chewy in texture, with light meaty savoury sweet flavour. No fishy taste at all, amazing. Wrap it with the other ingredients for maximum enjoyment. Highly recommended!

The Godeungeo Gui / Grilled Mackerel Fish (KRW ₩15,000) features a whole Spanish mackerel fish, grilled till golden brown. Carries a nice flaky texture to the lean oily fish meat, with an addictive smoky savoury salty flavour. Highly recommended!
