Founded in December 2016, PineappleTarts.SG or Pineapple Tarts Singapore is an online retailer of baked pastries and confectioneries, specialising in Chinese New Year / Lunar New Year goodies. While they do sell throughout the year, PineappleTarts.SG sees its most brisk business during said occasion. They offer a good quality of made-to-order pastries and confectioneries, both traditional Chinese Mandarin style and Modern Singaporean style.

Ordering online from PineappleTarts.SG is easy, with clear descriptions and attractive pictures of each of their products listed on their website, most being fully hand made without any preservatives. This also means a relatively short shelf life for their products, no more than 7 weeks or so. Luckily, PineappleTarts.SG delivers quickly, within a day or two from ordering and payment. Ever since my cousin introduced me to PineappleTarts.SG in February 2022, I've been purchasing from PineappleTarts.SG during Chinese New Year / Lunar New Year, both to consume and as gifts.

Their house signature Pineapple Of My Eye - Pineapple Ball 黄梨球 (SGD $21.90) are little round morsels of delight. Each pineapple ball features a flaky soft pastry crust that crumbles with buttery sweet flavour, revealing the sticky chewy delicious pineapple paste within, with its fruity sour zesty tangy sweet flavour. Utterly delicious, we kept reaching for more. Highly recommended!

The Bian Di Huang Jin - Salted Egg Fish Skin 咸蛋炸鱼皮 (SGD $18.90) has an auspicious name that means 'flood the floor with gold'. Each piece of salted egg fish skin is crisp crunchy, shattering delightfully with salty savoury spice flavour. Holds its texture well, though it's recommended to store in an air-tight container to maximise shelf-life. Highly recommended!

The Yummy Nutty - Peanut Butter Love Letter 花生酱鸡蛋卷 (SGD $21.90) was the product through which I was introduced to PineappleTarts.SG, and it changed my life (and made me a loyal customer). I couldn't comprehend how each peanut butter love letter was so deliciously addictive, with its crisp crunchy pastry shell enveloping a creamy smooth thick rich peanut butter filling. The combination of grainy sweet savoury nutty flavour was so delicious. Highly recommended!

In the 3 years I've been buying from PineappleTarts.SG, I've come to love the Roasty - Sesame Peanut Butter Love letter 芝麻花生酱鸡蛋卷 (SGD $22.90) more. The sesame peanut butter love letter essentially features the same crisp crunchy pastry shell and creamy smooth thick rich peanut butter filling, but with added toasted white sesame seeds and toasted black sesame seeds. This lends a lovely nutty earthy toasty aroma and flavour to the already addictive grainy sweet savoury nutty flavour, which in my mind, supercharges this. Highly recommended!
