Established in July 2021 as Sterra Tech Pte. Ltd., otherwise known simply as Sterra, this company is best known as a retailer of household equipment including water purification systems, air purification systems, bed frames and mattresses, and massage chairs. I'd purchased the Sterra 7 Tankless Water Purifier alkaline variant (SGD $2,100) in December 2023, and have been using it daily to date since it was installed in January 2024.








The Sterra 7 Tankless Water Purifier is a unique piece of household equipment. This water purifier measures a slim 15.80 centimetres width x 45.20 centimetres length x 40.4 centimetres height, occupying a smaller kitchen footprint than other similar products. The patented Hydra 7+™ technology within the Sterra 7 Tankless Water Purifier uses a semiconductor for the cold module, and a ceramic heater for the hot module, resulting in no condensation or leakage, a revolutionary advancement in home water filtration technology.

The Sterra 7 Tankless Water Purifier also features an 8-stage filtration process across a comprehensive 3-step filter. The 'Pre Multi-Carbon Filter' filters out dirt, rust, and suspended solids in Stage 1 Sediment Stage, removes heavy metals like copper and lead while softening the water in Stage 2 Ion Exchange Resin Stage, and removes organic chemicals and compounds like chlorine in Stage 3 Pre-Carbon Stage.

Next, the 'KX Nano-Fact Filter' filters out bacteria or harmful microorganisms to a pore size of 0.001 microns in Stage 4 Nano Membrane Stage, removes norovirus in Stage 5 Positive Charge Membrane Stage, and produces fibre in water in Stage 6 Cellulose Stage. Finally, the 'Post Silver Carbon Filter' filters out volatile organic compounds and odours in Stage 7 Post Carbon Stage, and adds minerals such as magnesium, calcium, and potassium into the water in Stage 8 Mineral Stage.






The Sterra 7 Tankless Water Purifier has a simple and intuitive control panel that makes it easy to use, with an extendable fast-flow nozzle that dispenses quickly without spillage. The nozzle is also equipped with an ultraviolet light emitting diode (UV LED), which aids in purifying water as it's being dispensed. Operating silently without any noise, the smart energy saving feature powers-down the water purifier touch panel when not in use for 1 minute.

Crucially, the Sterra 7 Tankless Water Purifier dispenses water in 6 different temperatures. There's hot water at 87 degrees celsius and 70 degrees celsius, warm water at 50 degrees celsius, room temperature water at 25 degrees celsius, and cold water at 15 degrees celsius and 4 degrees celsius respectively. Upon delivery, staff helped set up the Sterra 7 Tankless Water Purifier within less than 1 hour, and demonstrated its use and self-care. Love the fresh, clean, refreshing water it dispenses. The Sterra 7 may be tankless, but I'm thankful I purchased it!
