Opening Hours: Daily 11am – 10pm

Came upon this trending place on social media - tik tok, youtube; and decided Hereduan Street Food was a must-visit. Why? Because of their luscious egg-centric dishes, we love egg! Thus, Hereduan Street Food was the only restaurant we planned to visit and actually did visit during this trip.
Ambience at Hereduan Street Food is retro casual, with a rustic street-side vibe. The warmly lit place is cramped with small wooden stools and mosaic-tiled tables, while quirky tongue-in-cheek posters adorn the walls. Service at Hereduan Street Food is efficient and attentive. Though bustling, staff accord good attention when taking orders, and they also clean up quickly when diners leave. Payment is self-service over the counter. Food at Hereduan Street Food is modern Thai Chinese cuisine, with the star being their egg-centric dishes. Portions are generously sized, suitable for sharing. Prices are reflective of a typical restaurant, budget about THB ฿520 per person.

Established in 1956, Hua Seng Hong is an award-winning Thai Chinese restaurant. Its reputation certainly precedes it, and advance reservations are a must when dining at Hua Seng Hong, especially during dinner (the lunch crowd is more manageable).
Ambience at Hua Seng Hong is bustling and packed. The warmly lit space has narrow aisles with wide and comfortable furnishings. Ambient chatter fills the background. Service at Hua Seng Hong can be brusque, staff appear hurried and it takes awhile to attract their attention. They move quickly, serving orders, seating guests, and cleaning up. Food at Hua Seng Hong has more or less remained the same over nearly half a century, focused on traditional Thai Chinese cuisine. The Guay Tiew Luk Chin Pla Haeng Ba Mee / Fish Ball Noodles Dry (THB ฿325) features a thin light gravy of pork lard, garlic, fish sauce, and sesame oil, tossed with noodles of your choice. I opted for thin ba mee / egg noodles with chewy springy texture and grainy sweet flavour. Garnishes of springy fish cake and bouncy fish balls, both with savoury sweet salty flavour, crisp spring onions with vegetal sweet herbal flavour, and slippery tender fish paste dumpling with fishy savoury salty flavour, round out the dish. As this was a premium version, it included luxurious braised abalone with chewy tender texture and meaty savoury briny salty earthy flavour. Highly recommended!
