Established in July 2022, Poppy Thai Food Mart is a small kiosk specialising in homely Thai dishes. The family-run place located in the quiet Ubi area has gained a loyal following for its hearty portions of tasty food, all at wallet-friendly prices.

Ambience at Poppy Thai Food Mart is ramshackle. The quiet and brightly lit store has a cooking odour hanging in the air, while large colourful pictures of the menu and cutesy cartoon characters adorn the storefront. There're a few functional seats here, but most customers get takeaway.

Service at Poppy Thai Food Mart is friendly but brusque. Conversations are quick and transactional, and dishes are made to order. The owners and their staff are usually bustling around the kitchen, and cleaning up is done leisurely. No opportunity for demonstration of menu knowledge, everything looks quite clear.

Food at Poppy Thai Food Mart is homely Thai cuisine, focused on common dishes that are popular. Made to order, each dish is packed with flavour. Poppy Thai Food Mart is best known for their runny lava eggs over rice, yum. Portions are large for individuals. Prices are affordable and wallet-friendly, budget about SGD $7.50 per person.
