Introduction
Located about 20 minutes drive away from the Chiang Mai International Airport in Mueang Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, Thailand, the Novotel ChiangMai Nimman JourneyHub is a modern stylish 4-star hotel located near the vibrant Nimman area. Just off the main roads, the quiet setting lends for getting a good rest at Novotel ChiangMai Nimman JourneyHub, yet it still remains within walking distance to ample shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
Ambience
Ambience at Novotel ChiangMai Nimman JourneyHub is vibrant yet tranquil, with a garden-style atrium and leafy green terraces against the grey backdrop of the building. The Lobby Lounge is comfortably furnished, and soft warm lighting at night lends an intimate feel. Crisp mountain breezes cool the rooftop vantage point, while contemporary local art pieces scattered about the space invite browsing.
Room
Rooms at Novotel ChiangMai Nimman JourneyHub are comfortable and relaxing. I stayed at the Junior Suite, which had strong air conditioning, a private bathroom with rain shower, a large work desk, a mini-bar, and complimentary high-speed wi-fi which was disrupted on occasion. There were 2 smart 55-inch televisions with cable channels, while locally inspired wall art enriched the modern décor. The bed was comfortable albeit slightly softer for my preference.
Food
Food at Novotel ChiangMai Nimman JourneyHub is served at the hotel's all-day dining Food Exchange Restaurant. The range of cuisines is extensive, from Northern Thai to Indian to American, but quality is average at best. We tried the breakfast buffet at THB ฿450 per person, and it was alright. There are much better food options elsewhere.
Service
Service at Novotel ChiangMai Nimman JourneyHub scores high for attentiveness and personalisation. The reception remembers guests, and offered us late check-out proactively. The responsiveness of concierge assistance was most welcome, and they demonstrate good local area knowledge. Housekeeping was commendable as well, working quickly and efficiently, thorough in their duties. Excellent.
Facilities & Activities
The facilities and activities at Novotel ChiangMai Nimman JourneyHub include the 'In Balance' gymnasium with a good range of fitness equipment, flexible meeting spaces for up to 250 delegates, electric vehicle chargers, pet-friendly rooms and spaces, and a rooftop swimming pool with panoramic city and mountain views. With a shuttle service to nearby shopping districts, Novotel ChiangMai Nimman JourneyHub is a great hotel for a vacation, and I would return again.

The Food Exchange Restaurant is the in-house all-day dining restaurant of the Novotel ChiangMai Nimman JourneyHub hotel. Ambience is bright, vibrant, and comfortable, with cushioned chairs and gleaming table tops, while local art work adorn the walls. The food display is well-laid out. Service is polite and quick, with staff greeting and seating guests fast. They clean up proactively and efficiently throughout your meal. Food is International cuisine, with spotlights on American and Northern Thai cuisines. Dishes are average at best, passable but nothing to shout about. We had the breakfast buffet at THB ฿450 per person.

I loved the live egg station, which offered eggs several ways, including egg omelette, scrambled eggs, soft boiled eggs with soy sauce, sunny side up eggs, and more. There's usually a short wait while each order is freshly prepared.

Of particular note was the locally made fruit compotes and jams, especially the unique and delicious banana jam. We ended up spreading it on pancakes, toasted bread, even waffles!

The Kaeng Om Moo / แกงอ่อมหมู / Issan Pork Curry features a thin and clear herb-filled soup / broth, made with a blend of lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, shallots, garlic, turmeric, dried red chili, shrimp paste, fish sauce, palm sugar, salt, water, and lime juice, without any coconut milk. The warm soup / broth is usually garnished with crisp cabbage, bouncy button mushrooms, tender eggplant / aubergine brinjal, or crunchy string beans, along with tender sliced pork loin. Carries bright herbal spice zesty sour tangy meaty savoury vegetal sweet flavour.
