The casual asian dining concept in Paradise Group's chain of restaurants. The decor was really nice, and the service acceptable, but not outstanding.
The stand-out dishes for me at Paradise Group (Paradise Inn) were the Braised Peanuts (of all things...), the Deep-Fried Silver Cod Fish In Supreme Soya Sauce, and the Crisp-Fried Crystal Prawns With Salted Egg Yolk.
The Braised Peanuts were actually an appetizer, not a menu item... but they were done really well... braised till soft and seasoned with just the right amount of soy sauce. So addictive!
I felt the Deep-Fried Silver Cod Fish In Supreme Soya Sauce could have been more satisfying if they served it slightly thicker, and with slightly more soy sauce. It was deep-fried till crispy, and I felt it goes well with rice. The balance of saltiness was just right, so that you didn't have to drink extra water to quench your thirst.
Paradise Group (Paradise Inn) also does a mean Crisp-Fried Crystal Prawns With Salted Egg Yolk. Each prawn is shelled, and coated in the tasty goodness of salted egg yolks.
Come to think of it... This particular meal had a higher than average salt / soy sauce content. Haha...
The Chilled Lemongrass Jelly With Lemonade was surprisingly refreshing. The jelly isn't your normal tasteless cocktail jelly, it's infused with lemongrass and mint!
I personally thought the Sweet Taro Paste With Sweet Potato was above average. It's not the best I've had though.
The rest of the dishes at Paradise Group (Paradise Inn) were just average... I probably wouldn't order them again the next time, having tried them already.
