Founded in 2000 by Jake Nickell and Jacob DeHart, Threadless is a pure online retail / e-commerce website, specialising in t-shirts and lifestyle products for both men and women. In fact, the only physical store that Threadless has is their headquarters in Chicago, in the state of Illinois, United States Of America (USA). The unique thing about Threadless is their t-shirt designs, which are created by an online community of artists, and selected by public vote.

Threadless sources its designs from anyone and everyone. As long as someone has a design idea, they can submit it to the Threadless website, after which, the public gets to vote on which designs they'll like to see on a t-shirt. Every week, the top 10 designs are printed and sold in the Threadless e-store, and the winning designers are rewarded. By crowdsourcing t-shirt designs, Threadless has an unlimited supply of creative, unique ideas. Popular designs can even be reprinted, and the credited designer will again be rewarded!

The Threadless t-shirts are usually made with polyester and cotton, with the designs being screen printed. Lifespan of a t-shirt is above average, ranging between 2 - 5 years. The t-shirts are normally easy to care for, machine washable, and do not wrinkle / crumple easily. Very suitable for everyday casual wear! Threadless even has a 'Happiness Guarantee', where they will replace any item that was received in a damaged or defective condition!

Delivery time for Threadless products is between 1 - 3 weeks, via DHL Globalmail Parcel Priority for international shipping. Prices for t-shirts are slightly more expensive than elsewhere, though you are paying for quality artwork and unique designs. I personally feel it's good value for money, as long as you order at least 2 - 3 pieces to make the shipping costs worthwhile. Budget about SGD $50 for 1 t-shirt plus shipping costs.
