Opening in December 2012, Nimble/Knead, or Nimble Knead, is provider of spa and reflexology services, with a unique decor of shipping containers and a loose theme of shipping. Quirky, stylish, eye-catching decor aside, Nimble/Knead offers a decent range of massage and spa treatments, with professional therapists and staff that strive to uphold high customer service standards.

Past the shipping containers at the front of Nimble/Knead, the rest of the place has a tranquil, earthy vibe, with colours of brown and burgundy red, illuminated by warm dim yellow lights. Furnishings are proudly Thai crafted from sturdy wood, made comfortable with plush cushions in Thai silk. The range of services at Nimble/Knead include 9 different types of massage, 6 types of body scrubs, 4 types of body mask, and 7 types of facial treatments. Ranging in duration from 60 minutes to 120 minutes, and in price from SGD $40 to $180 or more per person, taking up a treatment at Nimble/Knead is a commitment of time and money, and you'll be glad you did.

I chose the 'Foot For Thought' 60-minutes foot massage at SGD $42, while she went for the 'Destination Bali' 60-minutes full body massage at SGD $76. The former has a calming foot salt soak, followed by firm strokes of kneading and reflexology (you can choose the strength) to relieve aches and fatigue in the feet and legs, restoring balance. The latter stimulates blood circulation and eases muscle and joint aches and pains, through Balinese acupressure, kneading, reflexology, and aromatherapy. The therapists adjusted pressure according to our preferences, which I appreciate because prior experiences elsewhere sometimes do not have such options.

We finished with a serving of hot Ginger Tea, which revitalised. Had a pleasant experience at Nimble/Knead, or Nimble Knead. While prices are slightly higher than elsewhere, and the location isn't the most convenient, I think they make for a great place to pamper oneself and relieve weekly stress.
