Introduction
Located about 30 minutes drive away from the Changi international airport in Singapore, Goodwood Park Hotel is a 5-star heritage hotel conveniently located on the outskirts of Orchard Road, the main shopping belt of Singapore. Known for its unqiuely designed colonial facade, with its grand tower gazetted as a Singapore national monument since 1989, Goodwood Park Hotel offers a luxurious and tranquil retreat for discerning guests.


Ambience
Ambience at Goodwood Park Hotel exudes a refined, elegant splendor. From the marble tiles, to the lush landscaped gardens, the colonial architecture, to the wide carpeted stairways, it feels like you've stepped into a luxurious place full of old-world charm. The wide open spaces lend solitude, and with the grounds being vast, you'll really only encounter crowds at the dining areas. They also have an on-site supervised antigen rapid test (ART) service site at the back. The only quibble I have is the open air carpark, which is exposed to the elements.


Room
Rooms at Goodwood Park Hotel are large and comfortable, with tasteful heritage charm. I stayed at the Deluxe Premier Room, whose clean lines, warm lights, light earthy colour palette with natural wood tones and white quartz accents, create a contemporary yet timeless space, balanced between sleek sophistication and warm elegance. The air-conditioner is powerful and there is an optional ceiling fan, the work desk is wide and sturdy with ergonomic seating, the wireless internet is fast and stable, the plush ottomans and bed are comfortable and clean. The wardrobe has decent space with sufficient clothes hangers, while the bathroom is clean and well stocked with amenities. Love the option of rain or standing shower, though I wish the toilet was equipped with a bidet.


Food
Food at Goodwood Park Hotel is provided by the Coffee Lounge Restaurant, offering a decent range of Singaporean favourites and Western fare on the in-room dining menu. Large in portion and executed to good quality restaurant standards, dishes are tasty and wholesome, with picture-perfect presentation. That said, Goodwood Park Hotel itself offers a multitude of other mid-range and high-end restaurants to dine in, and with the nearby Orchard Road within walking distance, guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to dining and shopping, no matter your budget.


Service
Service at Goodwood Park Hotel is polite, efficient, and professional. From the moment staff courteously greet you at the doors, to the quick and efficient check-in or check-out, to the thorough and hardworking housekeeping, the service here is a notch above the rest, befitting its 5-star status. Was particularly impressed with the turnaround and room cleaning performed by the housekeeping, being both quick and meticulous (though perhaps less environmentally-friendly in a way). The service staff in the restaurants are likewise proactive and attentive, very hospitable. Overall, guests feel welcome, valued, and well taken care of.


Facilities & Activities
The facilities and activities at Goodwood Park Hotel cater to segments like business, the well-heeled, events, and gourmands. Pamper yourself with spa treatments, dip into 1 of the 2 inspired swimming pools, hold events in their well-equipped meeting rooms, or indulge in exquisite dining at their many restaurants. With Orchard Road nearby, there's also ample shopping to be had. There is however, less activities than elsewhere to occupy children. Overall, I had an excellent time at Goodwood Park Hotel, and would return again.
