Established in February 1991 by professional masseur Jimi Tan, Kenko Wellness is a premium wellness and reflexology brand, best known for 2 things - their unique Japanese fish spa therapy, and their varied international wellness offerings. Kenko Wellness draws on sources such as Thai massage, Chinese traditional massage and acupuncture, American style massage, and Japanese shiatsu, resulting in a wide range of wellness services. These however, don't come cheap, as Kenko Wellness services are positioned up-market, with premium pricing that may sometimes be double that of elsewhere.
Customers are warmly welcomed on arrival at Kenko Wellness. The ambience is calm and relaxing, no televisions to watch here, and while you can use your personal devices, there doesn't seem to be complimentary wi-fi. Warm low lights, soft music, and plush comfortable reflexology chairs make it easy to be lulled to light sleep. There's a sense of tranquil zen and calm, nice.

At Kenko Wellness, I had the 100 minutes foot reflexology session (60 minutes + 40 minutes add on) which cost an eye-watering SGD $148, though they gave me a complimentary additional 10 minutes at no charge. For the price, the service was better than other reflexology brands I'd visited before. Staff worked not just on the feet, but the lower legs as well, till the knees. Technique was very good, with comprehensive pressure and coverage, kneading out muscles which were tight.
That said, I felt Kenko Wellness was lacking in a few areas. Primarily, there is no foot wash like elsewhere, just a simple wet wipe, which isn't the most hygienic for their staff. There was also no complimentary drinks, which is the least I would expect for the price. While the massage techniques at Kenko Wellness are better than elsewhere, the overall packaging and experience doesn't quite feel like it's good value, especially since the foot reflexology services cost double the price of other brands.
