Opening in March 2021, Joji’s Diner is a cozy American styled fast-casual diner, known for their all-day breakfast dishes. Their no-frills approach, wallet-friendly prices, and large hearty portions make Joji’s Diner popular with students, and the place is usually crowded throughout the day.
Ambience at Joji’s Diner is cozy, and styled after classic American diners with a gaudy red and white colour scheme. The small floor space is neatly packed with comfortable cushioned booth, diner chairs, and functional tables, with some natural light during the day, and warmly lit by night. There's usually a short queue here, with people (hopefully) waiting patiently on some seats outdoors.
Service at Joji’s Diner is partially self-service, with ordering and payment over the counter, while staff serve orders to your table. As a diner, there's usually a short wait of about 10 minutes for orders to be prepared. The less-than-average ventilation means the odour of frying hangs around. Staff work efficiently to clean up when diners leave, but don't need to demonstrate their menu knowledge as there's little interaction.

The Pink Lemonade (SGD $3.90) is very welcome, with its cool and refreshing zesty tangy sour sweet notes, helping to alleviate the palate from the rich and greasy dishes here. A pretty alright lemonade overall. Worth ordering!

The Strawberry Paddle-Pop Milkshake (SGD $9.90) is a decadent, over-the-top milkshake beverage. The tall glass is filled with creamy, medium thick strawberry milkshake, which has lovely fruity sweet flavour but isn't too cloying. Topped with a mountain of fluffy whipped cream, studded with crunchy colourful candy bits, and crowned with a chocolate doughnut which is chewy with bready chocolatey sweet flavour. Nice dessert. Good!

The All-Star Plate (SGD $14.40) is a large, hearty, American style all-day breakfast plate with classic favourites. There's fluffy soft buttermilk pancakes topped with butter and maple syrup, with bready sweet buttery flavour. There's tender roasted seasoned potato cubes, with starchy spice savoury salty flavour. There's crispy streaky pork bacon, with greasy meaty salty savoury smoky flavour. There's juicy cherry tomatoes and tender sautéed button mushrooms, with vegetal earthy sweet savoury flavour. There's fluffy creamy scrambled eggs with lovely eggy sweet milky flavour. There's soft warm baked beans with chewy pork spam cubes, light and vegetal sweet savoury earthy in taste. Finally, there's a snappy pork sausage that was rather dry, with meaty salty spice savoury flavour. Very satisfying overall. Highly recommended!

The Chili Dog (SGD $11.90) is a decently sized meal. The star is the snappy juicy pork sausage, sandwiched between fluffy brioche hotdog buns, generously covered with tender juicy minced beef chili con carne, crisp diced white onions, crunchy diced pickled gherkins, creamy yellow mustard, and black pepper. Bite into this messy hotdog, and you get a satisfying burst of smoky meaty savoury salty sour peppery spicy vegetal sweet flavour. Served with medium cut potato fries, thick and fluffy soft with good starchy salty sweet flavour. Good!

The classic traditional American Chicken & Waffle (SGD $12.90), originating from Pennsylvania, United States Of America. This soul food version combines breaded deep-fried chicken cutlet with freshly baked waffles and a sunny side up egg, drizzled with maple syrup and sprinkled with paprika. The large chicken cutlet has a crispy buttermilk battered skin and tender juicy chicken meat, with bold meaty savoury salty spice sweet flavour. The aromatic waffles are fluffy and soft, bordering moist and dry, with mild bready sweet flavour that hints of buttermilk. The sunny side up egg is soft with a semi-runny egg yolk, and nice eggy sweet notes. Together with the thick maple syrup and paprika, which lends lovely floral earthy sweet spice flavour, this was an excellent breakfast dish. Highly recommended!
