Launched in November 2023 by Jason Yeo, Jeju Sanghoe occupies a niche in Singapore's Korean scene, offering speciality South Korean fare from the island of Jeju. Their uncommon but delicious dishes attract regulars and Korean enthusiasts to return time and again to Jeju Sanghoe.
Ambience at Jeju Sanghoe features basalt stone statue replicas and traditional South Korean roof tiles, creating a rustic yet authentic setting that lets diners feel the beautiful island. The décor is deliberately understated, with warm lighting and wooden accents. Enclosed dining rooms offer a sense of privacy, though ambient noise and chatter fills the air.
Service at Jeju Sanghoe is attentive without being intrusive. Staff members are knowledgeable and eager to explain the origins of dishes, especially for lesser‑known Jeju specialties. They promptly replenish side dishes on request, and clean up quickly when diners leave. The team is friendly and polite, creating an approachable experience for all.
Food at Jeju Sanghoe is traditional South Korean cuisine, focused on Jeju specialities. The use of premium ingredients and authentic recipes means you get quality, true-to-form dishes that hail from the island. Created to be hearty and substantial, portions are sized for communal group sharing. Prices carry a slight premium, budget about SGD $53 per person.
