The iBox Museum Of Glass is first and foremost a concept store, that specializes in Various Glass Making Services (Fused, Sand Blasting, Formed, Stained, Painting), and Various Glass Products (Decorative Items, Clocks, Paintings, Key Chains, Jewellery, Accessories, Mugs, Pendants, Photo Frames, Holders, Signages, Sculptures). But due to the nature of their business, what they offer are also beautiful works of art, and so, the iBox Museum Of Glass does also qualify as a museum.
Every item in the iBox Museum Of Glass is for sale. However, you are just as welcome to purely view all the various exhibits, as all their products are neatly displayed in catergories. Admission is free and photography is allowed. In fact, iBox Museum Of Glass also provides free guided tours, where staff will explain the various Glass Making Processes and the History Of iBox Museum Of Glass, while taking you through the various exhibits. Even the doors, ceiling and toilet are exhibits!
Besides Glass Art, the highlight at the iBox Museum Of Glass is the Longest Glass Batik Painting. Over 12 metres long and 1.5 metres high, the Longest Glass Batik Painting is featured in the Malaysia Book Of Records, as is the iBox Museum Of Glass itself.
If you're fortunate, you may be able to catch the glass artists of iBox Museum Of Glass at work. Or you could simply try the DIY Glass Painting, and create your own souvenir.
If you're planning a visit, do note that admission is free, and allocate between 1 to 2 hours for viewing. Also, try to refrain from touching the exhibits (especially children), as everything is fragile, and the 'Once Broken, Considered Sold' rule applies here. However, staff will allow you to handle some items / exhibits.
