Oral Hygiene
Practicing good oral hygiene is simple, but requires discipline. This includes visiting a dentist at least twice a year for professional teeth cleaning. However, developing a daily habit for oral hygiene is essential as well.
The recommendation is brushing after every meal; at least 2 or 3 times daily with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Flossing or using a toothpick is also recommended.
The least effective product in oral hygiene is mouthwash. Using mouthwash does not eliminate the need for brushing or flossing, and in fact, brushing or flossing is sufficient to keep your teeth and gums clean. In essence, mouthwash is a product that is better suited to combating bad breath, rather than used purely for oral hygiene.
