Located about 10 - 20 minutes drive from Ho Chi Minh Tan Son Nhat International airport, Movenpick Hotel in Vietnam is modern and contemporary hotel. With sophisticated ambience, spacious and comfortable rooms, attentive service and a good range of dining and entertainment options, Movenpick Hotel is an excellent choice for business or leisure. Together with its close proximity to the city, Movenpick Hotel in Ho Chi Minh city has a winning formula.


Ambience
Ambience within Movenpick Hotel is contemporary and upbeat, with high ceilings, clean lines, white walls adorned with bursts of purple and green, bright lighting and ambient lighting, and modern artwork. Movenpick Hotel reflects the progressive Ho Chi Minh city, and exudes a premium sophisticated feel.


Room
I stayed in the Executive Room at Movenpick Hotel. The room is spacious and comfortable, though I had trouble with the lighting. The room features a combination shower and bathtub, a large wardrobe, and a comfortable work desk. Decor mostly consist of paintings and portraits of Vietnam. While the room was generally well maintained, a constant problem for many guests at Movenpick Hotel is the cumbersome safety door lock and access card, which sometimes doesn't work.


Food
Food at Movenpick Hotel is varied, with 4 restaurants to choose from. The main Cafe Saigon is where most people dine, and features both Asian and Western food, with a few local Vietnam dishes for good measure. Food is generally tasty, though some of the Western dishes are poorly executed. Stick to the tried and true local dishes, as these Ho Chi Minh city chefs typically do them very well.


Service
Service at Movenpick Hotel is attentive and efficient. Staff are able to carry out requests quickly, and are observant and helpful. The majority of staff are able to understand English, and are quite friendly and polite as well.


Facilities & Activities
The facilities at Movenpick Hotel are well maintained and quite extensive. The swimming pool is rather scenic, and the Kinetic Gymnasium is sufficiently equipped and even staffed. The sauna is a little small though. However, there are quite a few spa and beauty facilities in-house. The conference rooms are also well equipped and spacious, as is the Executive Lounge. Movenpick Hotel is quite close to several tourist attractions and the city center, though you'll still have to commute by vehicle.
