For the whole of December 2014, Gardens By The Bay has transformed their Supertree Grove into a Christmas Wonderland! The first ever event of its kind, the Christmas Wonderland 2014 is a nightly, magical light-up experience, with a magnificent display of light sculptures from Italy, and a charming Christmas market that calls to mind the festive markets of Germany.

Experience international speciality dining and shop for one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts at the quaint festive market. The centerpiece here is the Spiegeltent, a Travelling Mirror Tent from the Netherlands, that was originally built in the late 19th and 20th century. Only a handful remain in existence! Made of 1,000 pieces of wood, canvas, brocade, exquisite mirrors, and stained glass, diners visiting this enchanting tent will be treated to a festive gastronomic experience by Executive Chef Martin Woo of Kitchen Language Group.

Look out for speciality shops like Yankee Candles, offering festive home fragrance scents such as 'Candy Cane Lane' or 'Christmas Cookie'. Pick up unique, vibrant jigsaw puzzles from Perfect Fit, or indulge in bespoke leather goods and stylish accessories at Italian heritage brand Campo Marzio.

The main highlight of Christmas Wonderland 2014 are the spell binding Luminarie sculptures. Inspired by 16th and 17th century Baroque architecture drawings, these amazing sculptures of light are fluid in form and grand in scale. Hand crafted in Europe by Italian designers, the 2 grandest of these light sculptures are the Frontone Arrival Arch, standing at 15.64m tall at the entrance of Gardens By The Bay, while the imposing Spalliera, at 31m in diameter and 17m tall, resembles a crown lighting up the Supertree Grove.

Smaller solo pieces like the Leaf Trio, Arches, and Frontone Mini dot the area. Among these, the beautifully illuminated Casa Armonica Gazebo, 7.5m wide and 9m tall, plays host to various choirs throughout Christmas Wonderland 2014, as well as being the perfect venue for bridal photography. Be sure to also time your visit to catch the thrice nightly Blizzard Time, or foam Snow Fall event, held at the Spalliera!






















If you're planning a visit, do note that the illumination of Christmas Wonderland 2014 begins nightly at 7pm, with the festive market opening earlier at 5pm. While admission is free, do allocate about 1 hour for viewing.
