Mr Fish N Chips At Café Wok Inn has a long history, stretching back to when it was a hawker stall in Toa Payoh Lorong 7 in 2011. Founded by chef Michael Molina, Mr Fish N Chips At Café Wok Inn offers tasty, good quality British English cuisine at affordable prices. They moved into PoMo in June 2015.

Ambience at Mr Fish N Chips At Café Wok Inn is brightly lit, clean, and functional. The simple place has limited seating. It isn't designed for comfort, but function, a eat-and-go kind of place. I suppose that is part of the appeal, calling to mind the British English chippy kiosks.

Service at Mr Fish N Chips At Café Wok Inn is partially self-service. Ordering and payment is done over the counter, but staff will serve orders to your table. There is some opportunity for interaction, but little need for it. Pure transactional sort of service, efficient but forgettable.

Food at Mr Fish N Chips At Café Wok Inn is Singaporean Western Food (Hawker), with a focus on British English cuisine. In particular, their signature Fish & Chips is the star here. Dishes are generally above average in taste, and portions are hearty and filling. Prices are slightly higher than a food court though, budget about SGD $14 per person for a meal here.

A large mug of Iced Milo (SGD $3.80) makes for a refreshing drink, but it's slightly pricey.

The Mushroom Soup & Garlic Bread (SGD $3.90) aids to fill the stomach, but isn't tasty enough to make it worth recommending. It's not terrible, but still mediocre in quality.

As with the classic British English chippy stores, the condiment of choice for Fish & Chips is a light sprinkling of salt, and a dash of Malt Vinegar, giving it that sour salty kick.

Loved the Battered Fish & Chips With Coleslaw (SGD $9.90), served with a chilled crunchy coleslaw and thick cut British English chips that have good potato flavour. The john dory fish is large, and beautifully battered with a thin, crispy, golden brown coat. The batter causes the fish to steam in its natural juices, resulting in a creamy, moist, tender texture, with a delicate sweet savoury flavour. Good!

The Pan-Fried Barramundi With Salad, Mashed Potatoes, Chips (SGD $14.90) is a decent meal, served with fresh crunchy lettuce, juicy tomatoes, thick cut chips, creamy mashed potatoes coated in a savoury salty brown gravy, and a sharp sour sweet lemon sauce. The barramundi fish is nicely pan-fried, with a tender flaky texture to the fish meat, yet with a crispy skin, having a delicate sweet salty savoury flavour. Overall, a decent dish.
