Jarritos is a brand of Mexican carbonated beverages founded in 1950 by Don Francisco 'El Güero' Hill. It's made with natural fruit flavours and cane sugar, and is less carbonated than other popular soft drinks, with a gentle lively fizzy thin texture. The name means 'little jugs', paying homage to the Mexican tradition of serving aguas frescas (fresh fruit drinks) in traditional clay jugs, which were designed to keep the beverages cool and fresh. Varieties include the Soda Jarritos Lime (AUD $6.20) with zesty tangy sour sweet flavour, and the Soda Jarritos Mandarin (AUD $6.20) with fruity tangy sour sweet flavour.
