Update Oct-2020: It's been more than 9 years, and Marche / Marché Mövenpick is still going strong. This time though, the COVID-19 pandemic has really hit them hard; due safe distancing and hygiene measures, Marche / Marché Mövenpick can no longer operate open kichens. As such, they've now adopted a more traditional sit-down dining restaurant format, where you order from a menu. But am pleased to find dishes are as good as before, featuring fresh ingredients and large portions.
Ambience at Marche / Marché Mövenpick is now aging. The sturdy yet comfortable wooden rustic furniture has held up well, but without the draw of open kitchens, they've lost a little appeal. Still, it's a great place for chilling, especially since it's much less crowded than before.
Service at Marche / Marché Mövenpick is as good as ever. Staff are professional and friendly, demonstrating good product knowledge on the various dishes. They're attentive and quick to take orders, and clean up efficiently when diners leave. Staff engage diners in conversation on occasion, checking for feedback.
Food at Marche / Marché Mövenpick features typical German and Swiss dishes, made with fresh ingredients, and served in large individual portions that can be shared. Tasty and consistently well-executed, while visually pleasing. The menu is much smaller now though. Prices are slightly more affordable than before, budget about SGD $27 per person.

The chicken schnitzel itself is large and well-breaded, with a light crisp crunch to the exterior and a soft tender moist chew to the chicken meat interior, with good sweet savoury grainy flavour. Yum. Highly recommended!

Original Post Jul-2011: Since the Swiss management took over, they've improved on the food and service at Marche.
All your favorite Swiss dishes are back at Marche; Rosti, Crepe, Pork Knuckle, Bread Pudding; along with food from other parts of Europe, like Paella.
You do get what you pay for, and although the price of each dish is around $10 - $20, it's well worth the money. Portions are large and filling, and more importantly, are well-cooked and taste great.
I was a bit let down by the Margarita Pizza however, it wasn't authentic, and had too much cheese.
Aside from that, the Rosti and Paella at Marche were superb, and the fillets of meat and fish were grilled to perfection and still juicy. Excellent!
Decor at Marche is designed to be resemble Swiss countryside farms, and the service staff clear tables very promptly, so no complaints there.
