Part of the Imperial Treasure Group, La Mian Xiao Long Bao is an offshoot branch that specialises in La Mian, Xiao Long Bao and dim sum wanton dumplings, but also serves typical Chinese Zi Char dishes. As a fine dining restaurant, Imperial Treasure Group (La Mian Xiao Long Bao) hold itself to high standards, consistently winning awards or placing among the top / best restaurants in Singapore.

Ambience at Imperial Treasure Group (La Mian Xiao Long Bao) promises semi-private dining. Booths are designed to be rather spacious, but with high partitions, ensuring that conversation doesn't carry over to the other tables. Imperial Treasure Group (La Mian Xiao Long Bao) has a modern, elegant look and feel, with dark mahogony colours and smooth lines. The actual floor space for dining is rather small, though you don't feel this due to the good design and layout of the place.

Service at Imperial Treasure Group (La Mian Xiao Long Bao) is excellent. Befitting a Chinese Zi Char restaurant of this standard, staff are well trained, knowledgable about the menu, able to provide recommendations, polite, observant and efficient. The drawback; some of them are unable to converse in English, though all staff do have at least a basic understanding of the language. So while you can speak to them in English and they understand, some staff (not all) can only reply in Mandarin Chinese.

As a speciality niche restaurant, Imperial Treasure Group (La Mian Xiao Long Bao) focuses on creating hand made la mian noodles, and hand made wanton dumplings that are really good. The other half of the menu features several Chinese Zi Char dishes, and while tasty, the other outlets in the Imperial Treasure Group tend to do slightly better versions of them. In general though, expect to get good quality, tasty food at Imperial Treasure Group (La Mian Xiao Long Bao).

Expect higher than average pricing at Imperial Treasure Group (La Mian Xiao Long Bao), especially due to its location. I would recommend Imperial Treasure Group (La Mian Xiao Long Bao) more for special occasions, rather than casual weekend or everyday dining.

The Sauteed Egg White With Fish Meat And Conpoy is a beautiful and light eggy dish, with strands of fish and scallop, given a sharp tang with dash of vinegar. Consistency is somewhere between a soup / broth and a thin gravy.

I like the freshness of the Drunken Hua Tiao Chicken, and it's a good appetizer to awaken the palate before a meal.

The Wanton With Hot Chilli Sauce was excellent, well made hand crafted skin encasing a meaty and juicy filling of pork within. The spicy, slightly sour sauce completed the taste profile, and made it so addictive!

The Lamian With Five Spice Marinated Beef features the signature hand crafted and pulled La Mian, which are both thick and soft at the same time, though it tended to clump together slightly. The beef was thinly sliced but well seasoned and flavourful, though I felt they could have provided slightly more slices of beef.

The Lamian With Double Boiled Chicken Soup features a tasty and flavourful chicken soup to accompany a dry La Mian, but the actual chicken meat was rather bland. Good, but I the soup was much better than the meat.

The Lamian With Stewed Ox Tail features stewed beef ox tail to accompany a soup La Mian. The sauce for the beef ox tail was slightly spicy and tangy, and similar in taste to the sauce used for Chili Crabs, but without the smooth and eggy texture.

The house signature Xiao Long Bao Shanghai Steamed Pork Dumpling features hand crafted skin that is thick enough, yet yields easily with a bite. The broth within is rich and meaty in taste, and the meat is well packed and flavourful. Excellent, really one of the best Xiao Long Bao Shanghai Steamed Pork Dumpling I've had in Singapore!
