ADDIE Model
The ADDIE Model is an instructional design framework used by training developers and instructors to build an effective training programme.
The ADDIE Model is a 5 step process that involves:
1. Analysis
2. Design
3. Development
4. Implementation
5. Evaluation
In the Analysis phase, we determine who are the learners, and what is to be learned.
In the Design phase, we specify the process of learning.
In the Development phase, we produce and/or procure the various materials, tools and equipment needed for learning.
In the Implementation phase, we conduct the training within a real world context.
In the Evaluation phase, we determine the adequency of instruction (Summative Evaluation). Within each phase, a mini-evaluation is also carried out (Formative Evaluation).
