Wok In A Box is an Asian fusion cafe / restaurant that was founded in 2002 in Norwood, Adelaide. Specialising in quick, cooked to order Chinese inspired food by trained chefs, using fresh locally sourced quality ingredients, Wok In A Box has seen success with its franchise business.
Ambience at Wok In A Box is slightly above average, as most customers prefer to order take away. Floor space is small and limited, meaning that seats and furniture are few, similar to a bar counter. Part of the appeal of Wok In A Box is seeing the chefs prepare your food upon order.
Service at Wok In A Box is fast and efficient. Place your order, then watch as the chefs cook it quickly over hot woks. Staff are generally friendly. Wok In A Box also offers catering and delivery, as well as the option to customise your order with gluten-free or nut-free.
Food at Wok In A Box consists mainly of rice or noodles, with various options of meat and vegetables, cooked in a sauce. Besides the popular available options of noodles and rice on the menu, Wok In A Box also allows you to customise your own order, by picking your own toppings and ingredients. Good concept, and pretty fun as well.

Actual floor space here is limited, with the open kitchen taking up half the space, and a small bar counter for dining taking up the other half. Many people order take away.

The Salt And Pepper Squid is served in a box of 6 pieces, on a bed of fresh salad, garnished with a slice of lemon. This battered and deep fried appetizer is crispy and juicy, with good taste from the fresh squid hoods, and seasoning of salt, pepper, chinese 5-spice powder and chili.

The version of Singapore Noodles here is a quick stir fry of thin rice noodles, pork slices, shrimp, egg, onions, carrots, bean sprouts, bell peppers, lemon juice and a mild instant curry sauce. Tasty, but too salty after awhile.
