A chic, homely and comfortable casual cafe, the first outlet of Hummingbird Eatery opened in Bandung, Indonesia in 2011, and they've since expanded to a second outlet in Jakarta which opened in August 2012. Popular with the young and trendy locals, I too fell in love with Hummingbird Eatery during my visit.

Ambience at Hummingbird Eatery is cozy, with wooden decor designed to look like a cottage home, interspersed with gargantuan bird cages and flora which lend a touch of greenery. Furniture is comfortable and the floor layout is spacious, with high ceilings and bright lighting. Images and representations of hummingbirds adorn the place. Hummingbird Eatery is a great place for just chilling!

Service at Hummingbird Eatery is the lowest point... Fortunately, it's still decent. Staff aren't particularly friendly, but are efficient and observant. I can't say the service was bad, but it wasn't as outstanding as the rest of the place.

The menu at Hummingbird Eatery is extensive, spanning both Western and Asian style appetizers, mains and desserts... And even drinks! Easily over 100 menu options to choose from. Prices at Hummingbird Eatery are reasonable for a chic cafe, though slightly upmarket for locals in Jakarta.

Food at Hummingbird Eatery is tasty, and well-prepared using quality ingredients. I loved the dishes I tried, and I especially like their creative alcohol coffees!
