Located rather far, at about 80 - 150 minutes drive from Moscow Domodedovo International airport, Renaissance Olympic Hotel / Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel in Russia has the excellent service, well maintained amenities and grand sophisticated elegance worthy of any 5-star hotel in the Marriott brand. Despite the poor location, Renaissance Olympic Hotel overcomes this with a full in-house service and facilities, several nearby attractions, restaurants and convienence stores, and shuttle services to places further away.


Ambience
Ambience within Renaissance Olympic Hotel is modern contemporary, with moderately high ceilings, clean acute lines, bright lighting in a myrid of colours, and sharp contrasting features like different furniture. Decor throughout Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel focuses on space exploration, and the hallways are lined with classic photographs of the Russia space age. The place has a charming sophistication, and pausing to take in the different details around the hotel is recommended.


Room
I stayed in the Twin Single Room of Renaissance Olympic Hotel. Rooms are comfortably cosy, but long rather than wide, which means narrow passageways. I found it odd that the bathroom, which has a bathtub, is on a raised platform. Television channels are limited, but the work desk is sufficiently large, as is the wardrobe. However, I felt Renaissance Olympic Hotel should have provided more bottled water on a daily basis.


Food
Food at Renaissance Olympic Hotel ranges from the traditional Russia style cuisine, to International selections, due to the numerous restaurants here. The buffet style spread at Vienna Cafe is tasty, with good quality ingredients, but range is limited. The room service menu is also limited, not too tasty, and rather expensive, I recommend to avoid it. Transsiberian Restaurant, while slightly expensive, does good quality, tasty, classic Russian dishes, and trying it at least once during your stay is highly recommended.


Service
Service at Renaissance Olympic Hotel is very good. As a start, all service staff are able to communicate in English, which isn't a given elsewhere. Staff will carry out requests quickly and efficiently, and are knowledgable about the various amenities of the hotel, and the surrounding area. I also like that the hotel provides shuttle services to popular destinations that are further away, as well as complimentary umbrellas upon request. Another plus point is that Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel is able to provide the confirmation letter and entry voucher required for application of the Russian Visa, which saves you money and time to get it yourself.


Facilities & Activities
The facilities at Renaissance Olympic Hotel are extensive. You'll practically never have to leave the hotel at all during your stay, as you can get everything here, including hair dressing and beauty services, floral services and more. The Propect Mira Metro is only a short 5 - 10 minute walk away, and that area has many convienence stores, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, clothing stores, bars and more.
