Cheap and good. A phrase that attracts many Singaporeans, and which is an apt description for Ocean Seafood Zi Char. Located in Serangoon North, this non-brand name zi char stall does brisk business most evenings and weekends.

For most of those who visit Ocean Seafood, the main draw is the food, and value for money prices. Most dishes cost around SGD $8 to $15 per dish, and are quite tasty. While not the most excellent or best tasting zhi char ever, it's of a good enough standard.

Flavours at Ocean Seafood can be a little intense however, and overseasoning is a problem for some dishes.

As Ocean Seafood is located in a coffeeshop, there isn't much ambience. Expect noisy crowds during peak periods, as well as having to wait for a table.

Service at Ocean Seafood can be rather brusque, and getting their attention is difficult. Fortunately, even despite having a large crowd of diners, Ocean Seafood is able to handle and fulfill orders pretty well, and food only takes about 10 minutes or so to be served.

Do visit Ocean Seafood if you're in the area, but I personally feel it's not good enough to warrant a special trip just to dine here.
