Char-Grill Bar is another "Western food at Coffeeshop Prices" franchise, but fortunately, they've tried to distance themselves from Astons Express and Botak Jones. Though Char-Grill Bar were pretty unspectacular when they first opened shop, they've since improved a lot in their quality of food and service, unlike their competitors.
Their specialties include the Cajun Grilled Chicken and Mexican Grilled Chicken, both of which come topped with Cheese. The difference? Cajun style uses melted Cheddar cheese, while Mexican style uses Nacho cheese.
Recommended sides include the California Raisin Rice, Mexican Cheese Pasta and Potato Salad.
However, avoid ordering Char-Grill Bar's Chicken / Beef Shepherd's Pie and Mushroom Soup... low value for money, plus you can get much better tasting ones elsewhere. Both Shepherd's Pies and Mushroom Soup have little fillings or ingredients, and taste... Bleh!
Recently, Char-Grill Bar has caught on the trend of "Seasoned Fries", and you will find a good selection of seasonings and sauces to go with your fries.
