iL Piccolo follows the trend of "Western Food at Coffeeshop Prices", only in their case, it's Italian food. An pretty good Italian food too, with a quality that is comparable to Pastamania. Having said that, the quality of food at iL Piccolo is definitely not the high-end kind you would get at La Nonna or Les Amis.
Alfredo - Chicken, Ham and Peas in a Cream Sauce. Their cream sauce is a bit on the thin side, but the taste still comes through.
Carbonara - Bacon, Eggs, and Parmesan Cheese in a Cream Sauce. This is a lot thicker and heavier due to the cheese. Tasty and very satisfying,. Calorie-watchers might want to avoid this.
Crespelle Di Spinachi - Crepes stuffed with Chicken, Spinach and Mushroom in a Cream Sauce. In my opinion, the best dish available, and my personal favourite at iL Piccolo. Biting into the crepe releases and explosion of flavour from the ingredients inside. Combined with the hot and gooey cheese... Shiok!
Frutti De Mare - Prawns, Clams, Mussels and Squid in a Tomato Sauce. Also known as Seafood Marinara. The seafood is fresh and plentiful, and the tomato sauce is thick and contains chunks of tomato.
Gnocchi Di Patate - Round Potato Dumplings, Asparagus and Mushrooms in a combination of Cream and Tomato Sauce. Really tasty and unique, though I wish the sauce was slightly thicker.
iL Piccolo - The namesake of the stall, iL Piccolo Pasta. Made with Chicken, Asparagus and Mushrooms in a Cream Sauce. As tasty and satisfying as the Carbonara, but slightly healthier.
Quattro Formaggi - Literally means 4 types of cheese. Comes in a Cream Sauce, this dish is really filling.
Salmone Penne - Smoked Salmon, Olives and Capers in a pink Salmon Sauce. The salty smokiness of the salmon goes really well with the juicy olives and capers, as well as the sauce. Quite a light meal.
