Founded in 2012, within the upmarket dining and entertainment destination of Thonglor, in Bangkok, Thailand, the restaurant Seiniku-Ten is a Japanese inspired, charcoal grill yakiniku / grilled meat, all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant. While there are many other similar restaurants in the city, Seiniku-Ten stands out for its homely ambience, prompt service, and good quality food. Overall, I find it worthwhile to dine here, and would return!
Ambience at Seiniku-Ten is cozy and homely. The exterior is attractive for its brightly lit curtain of Japanese lanterns, while the spot-lit interior is heavy on dark wood panelling, with a limited dining area. This is contrasted by a small, but lush, garden at the ground floor. Diners sit in a small hollow around a charcoal grill, designed to resemble the traditional Japanese low tables, and I find this comfortable and spacious.
Service at Seiniku-Ten is prompt, friendly, and efficient. Staff are quick to greet and seat diners, though the limited seating sometimes means a short wait. They're able to converse fluently in English, and I also like that the menu has clear pictures with English descriptions. Staff are able to make recommendations, as well as describe the differences between each type of meat, good product knowledge! They're also quick to clear away empty / dirty plates, and proactively offer to top up drinks. Great!
Food at Seiniku-Ten is all about Japanese style yakiniku / grilled meats. Diners cook their own meal over a charcoal fire, and being an ala-carte buffet, it's 1 price for an all-you-can-eat meal, with a time limit of 2 hours. Budget about THB ฿699 / SGD $27 per person, this allows you to order unlimited amounts of everything available on the menu, good value for money! Despite their meats being thinly sliced, it's of good quality, well marinated / seasoned, with nice flavour. However, their side dishes are rather pedestrian, not that good.

What I find odd is their Iced Green Tea is complimentary with each buffet, but a Hot Green Tea costs extra. Still, if you go with this cold beverage, it's decent enough to quench your thirst.

They offer 3 types of imported Japanese beef. I like the fatty Beef Harami the best, as the fat contributes big flavour. Others may opt for a healthier option with the medium-fatty Beef Jo Rousu, or the leaner Beef Rousu.

They offer 3 types of imported Japanese pork. I like the fatty Pork Jo Buta the best, for its silky, decadent flavour. Others may opt for a healthier option with the medium-fatty Pork Shogun Buta, or the leaner Pork Kurobuta.

They offer cuts of imported Australian Lamb, which has a strong gamey flavour. Average for me.

Pair the salty savoury yakiniku / grilled meats with fresh, crunchy Iceburg Lettuce, for balance in both taste and texture!

The Premium Beef Kazan has thinly sliced beef, marinated in a savoury spicy sauce, garnished with sesame seeds. When grilled, it takes on a nice, smoky aroma. The beef meat is tender, and you get a sharp kick of the chili heat at the end, though it fades quickly. Decent enough, but I fail to see why it's special.

The Premium Beef Kosho has thinly sliced beef, marinated in spicy black pepper and spring onions. The beef meat is tender and savoury, but the flavour is more intense with this, the pepper spice kicks sharply. Again, it's decent enough, but I fail to see why it's particulary special.

Loved the Premium Beef Miso, with its tender, thinly sliced beef strips, marinated in a salty savoury miso sauce. Flavour is intense, but addictive, and this pairs well with fresh vegetables and white rice! This dish sets them apart from other similar yakiniku / grilled meat restaurants. Highly recommended!

The Premium Beef Topped With Scallions was the best item we ate here. Thick, meaty, savoury salty beef steaks, juicy and tender. Staff showed us how to grill these, cook 1 side first, then flip it over to cook the other side, while topping the beef with all the scallions. Roll it up, cut it into pieces, and enjoy! Quite unique, the flavour profile is good. Also another dish which sets them apart, this alone is worth visiting for. So good we ordered 4 rounds of it! Highly recommended!

Part of the overall dining experience is performing your own grilling over the charcoal grill built into the center of each table. I like that staff come around regularly to change the metal grill, as well as stroke the charcoal fire.
