HortPark & Alexandra Arch is a centre for the Singaporean horticulture and landscaping industry to experiment, while simultaneously creating a beautiful community space. HortPark & Alexandra Arch actually comprises of 40 showpiece mini gardens, created by various companies and individuals. If you're a nature lover, you'll be doing yourself a favour by paying a visit to HortPark & Alexandra Arch!
Alexandra Arch is the Southern Ridges park connector for HortPark. Featuring a unique open leaf design, Alexandra Arch is also beautifully lit by LED at night.
Within HortPark, the one of the star attractions would be the Lifestyle Corner. Featuring ideas on creating a green home, the Lifestyle Corner focuses on greenery in urban living environments. I particulary liked their mini home gardens, and their green wall concepts.
HortPark has several award winning garden designs, some of which include Balinese Garden, Rasa Cinta, Peranakan Garden and Green CaRstle. Most of these are designed around a theme.
HortPark & Alexandra Arch is a lesser known attraction in Singapore, and is defintely worth a visit. It's a beautiful place for photo taking, and the various exhibits are laid out quite well. As an experimental grounds, this also means various exhibits will be changed from time to time, making repeat visits worthwhile.
If you're planning a visit, do note that admission is free, although parking charges apply if you drive. Allocate between 1 to 2 hours for viewing.
