Mount Faber Park & Jewel Box Cable Car is an iconic hill top experience, offering one of the best views of Singapore and its waterfront.

The highlights at Mount Faber Park & Jewel Box Cable Car would have to be viewing the scenery from Faber Point, the top of Mount Faber, and the Singapore Cable Car ride, at the Jewel Box.

Faber Point also has a Merlion Stature, for phototaking. And if you look carefully at the floor, the centre of Faber Point also acts as a compass, pointing out other Singapore Attractions, as well as major Southeast Asian cities. At the base of Faber Point is a series of Murals, tracing the history and identity of Singapore.

The Jewel Box has a unique design, with curved wooden arcs. There is a retail shop here, as well as 5 restaurants that open at various times throughout the day. The Singapore Cable Car ride also doubles as an art piece, at various times thoughout the year, the pictures on the sides of each cable car will be changed according to a selected theme. During my visit, the theme was Angry Birds!

The larger area of Mount Faber Park has 2 walking trails, namely Faber Walk, and Marang Trail. Faber Walk is the more scenic route, and encompasses all the major attractions of Mount Faber Park & Jewel Box Cable Car, while Marang Trail goes through the rainforest at the foot of Mount Faber Park.

If you're planning a visit, do note that while admission is free throughout Mount Faber Park & Jewel Box Cable Car, the actual Singapore Cable Car ride itself costs $29 for a round trip ticket. Allocate between 1 to 2 hours for viewing, and if you wish to explore Faber Point or Marang Trail, wear a good pair of shoes.
