The concept at Medzs is very similar to Marche, but when it comes to the execution, they're very different. Medzs offers Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Food, as well as a much wider and more varied range of desserts.

Much of the service at Medzs is self-service, where after placing an order, you'll be given an alarm to notify you when your food is ready. Food generally takes around 5 to 10 minutes to prepare, even on busy days. I noticed that if your alarm buzzes more than 3 times, the staff will bring your order and look for you. Thumbs up for that!

Ambience at Medzs is average, like a casual restaurant / food court, although the food counters tend to be better decorated. The false rock counters do make the place seem more Mediterranean, but those aside, the rest of Medzs looks like a typical Singaporean food court. Little pebbles on each table have the table number written on them, flip them over to reserve the table you want.

I find the food at Medzs to generally be quite good. Each station has a regular list of main courses, as well as a small list of daily specials. These normally range from above average in taste, to spectacular I-want-more-of-this. The desserts are another matter... Although Medzs has a wide range of desserts on offer, with some regular items and other rotating items, not all of them are good. In fact, some of them are quite terrible. The difficulty in choosing a dessert is because all of them are presented beautifully.

Medzs has quite a wide range of alcohol on offer... from all over the world! I like their display, which groups the alcohol by countries. Check with the staff for the promotion of the day!

One of the highly recommended dishes at Medz, the Salt Crust Beef Steak at the French station is tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. However, portion sizes can be inconsistent.

The Potato Rosti With Parma Ham at the Swiss station, for me, is a joke. The normal Potato Rosti is only average, and quite small in size. It costs about $5. With the addition of 1 slice of Parma Ham, the price becomes $10. Totally not worth it, and taste-wise, not that great either. Skip this.

The Truffle Fries are quite acceptable however. Crisp fries, served in a large bowl. Could be better with a bit more seasoning though... The truffle oil only infused about half the fries. Would have been better if they tossed it before serving, rather than just sprinkling the truffle oil.

The Turkey station offers Kebabs and Sandwiches. The Doner Beef And Lamb Sandwich and the Doner Bread With Beef And Lamb Hot Plate is essentially similar, with the only difference being whether the meat is inside or outside the Doner bread. I find the meat well-seasoned, and juicy with its own natural juices. The portion size is huge, and very filling. Recommeded for sharing.

The Greek station, is also the Seafood station. The seafood is fresh, and servings are generous, with sides of mashed potato and fresh salad. The Grilled Salmon was pink and tender. I highly recommend the Kakavia Fish Stew, the sweet and savoury yellow sauce was just addictive, and I couldn't get enough of it! The Kakavia Fish Stew is served with mashed potato, salmon, and sea bream, with the sauce poured around it. Really good, and I would visit again just for this!

The Spanish / Moroccan station is my favourite station in Medzs, because I feel their Tajines and Paellas are just fantastic.
The Lamb Tajine had meat that was juicy, well seasoned with spices, and fall of the bone tender, served in its own natural juices, apricots and other herbs. Tasted superb. The Raisin Couscous was well cooked, with each grain separating easily, and the raisins gave an additional fragrance and fruity taste to the dish.

The Seafood Paella had rice that was infused with seafood stock and saffron, and tasted just heavenly. So addictive! Served with slices of calamari squid, fish, clams and 1 giant tiger prawn, all the seafood was fresh and well cooked. Highly recommended.

Loved the meaty and juicy sausages in the Mixed Sausage Platter, meat fest galore! Very filling too.

The dessert station has a wide range of desserts on offer. I really liked the Churros With Chocolate Dip, the churros were crisp and well seasoned with cinnamon. Good enough on its own, but the chocolate dip gave it that extra sweetness. The Tiramisu Cup was great as well, I could taste the different layers within, and it was quite filling. The Carrot Cake was also surprisingly good, and I don't even normally like Carrot Cake! It was firm and had a nice flavour, although the fake candy carrot on top was a bit limp.

I thought the Chocolate Souffle With Ice Cream was average. While tasty and chocolatey enough, it could have been better if the inside was warmer and had more gooey chocolate. The Mille-Feuille was good as well, with a crisp outer pastry that was properly flaky, and fresh fruits within. I felt that was a little too much cream though.

These desserts I absolutely didn't like. Bread And Butter Pudding is supposed to be warm, soft and creamy... This was none of it. And while the lychees in the Panna Cotta Lychee gave it a burst of flavour, the actual panna cotta was flat and one-dimensional in taste, and too thick in texture. The worst dessert was the Rainbow Cake. Looked incredibly pretty and colourful, but tasted like nothing. The many colours are just food colouring, with no different tastes. So the whole Rainbow Cake just tasted like plain butter cake, with not enough butter, no cream, and no flavour.

The odd thing about the drinks station, is they actually take longer to fulfill your order than the food stations! Be prepared to wait 5 minutes or more even when there are no crowds. On a crowded evening, my order of Snow Oreo actually took 30 minutes to be ready... By then I had nearly finished dinner! You're probably better off ordering from the alcohol drinks station. They have a few daily promotions, and the 1-for-1 deals are pretty good.
