Oriole Coffee has been holding its 3 C's promotion since May-2012, where a special menu of desserts and coffee have been created that all feature Coffee, Chocolate, and Caramel.

However, from 1-Jun-2012 till 31-Dec-2012, they've decided to pledge 10% of all proceeds from their coffee beverages to a Charity, the M.I.L.K. Fund (Mainly I Love Kids Fund - http://www.milk.org.sg/).

I'm always excited to hear about businesses supporting such social causes!

I've heard that Oriole Coffee serves really good coffee, and they certainly live up to the hype.

Ambience at Oriole Coffee indoors is decent, but I thought the lighting was quite dim. The wooden furniture is comfortable but the limited floor space means everything is cramped together. Outdoor seating is great on a cool day, but warm sunny days make the seats outside uncomfortable to linger in.

Service at Oriole Coffee is friendly and affable, and will do their best to accomodate to your requests. Staff are prompt with topping up your water glass and clearing tables. Efficient service!

Food at Oriole Coffee used to be better, as the menu is now more limited in scope. I suppose the change was to keep up with rising costs, but the pairing of the unique items on the menu means Oriole Coffee is now just like any other cafe out there. Portions are decent sized for the price though, and Oriole Coffee still remains one of the value for money place to dine in Orchard Road.

Staff recommended me the Piccolo Latte, which was strong and full-bodied. I really loved it!

Piccolo Latte

The Chilli Chocolate Mocha With Cinnamon Stick was strong and chocolatey, with a nice kick from the spice. The Doppio Dolce had a nice aroma, with a strong body and mild bitterness.

Their Hot Smoked Salmon Benedict has nicely poached eggs sitting on top of wilted spinach, pink, medium-rare smoked salmon and a slice of english muffin. Cutting into the egg causes the golden yolk within to spill out... Lovely. However, their Hollandaise Sauce is a little too bitter for my taste.

I also tried the Prosciutto Scrambled Eggs at Oriole Coffee. The smokiness and saltiness of the Prosciutto Ham helped flavour each mouthful of Arugula and softly Scrambled Eggs. The Toast was decent, but not outstanding. The best part of this dish would have to be the aroma and taste from the Truffle paste... Smells like the freshness of the hills and woodlands!

I quite liked Carmella's Kiss, a bitter chocolate and coffee tart with fresh cream. Interesting combination of flavour, though the caramel sugar art was a little too thick.

The Full English Breakfast is a stand out dish for me here. The individual items are done well, and the portion is generous and filling. I especially love the sausages that are grilled to perfection!

The Classic Eggs Benedict feature perfectly poached, runny egg yolk. But the sliced ham doesn't seem too fresh, and the Hollandaise sauce was a little thin.

The Citrus Sin has a unique taste, with a slight zing from the lemon, balanced by the strong acidity of the coffee.

Citrus Sin

The Mint Mocha has a rather underwhelming mint taste, not as refreshing as I'd hoped. The coffee seems to overpower the mint.

I loved the Cubano Sandwich, in particular, the warm, toasty bun that has the consistency and texture of a waffle. A very filling and satisfying dish, the filling of beef and gherkins lend a savoury and sour tang.
